agree ako, very good choice at best bang for the buck talaga ang everest. best value among it's competitors ang 2.5 M/T Duratorq.

at for me, oks na oks yung leaf springs. Madalas kasi, puno ng karga everest ko, at feeling ko, kung coil spring, mababa na masyado pag kargado.

at very roomy at spacious para sa pasahero at kargada ang everest. I really like the fact na madali lang alisin at ibalik yung 3rd row seat nya.

FOSSIL: 2.5 manual transmission sir. I still remember tried to race with a range rover v8 sa NLEX. Subok lang. Kaya makipagsabayan at halos pantay pa nga. yung nga lang mas mataas top speed ng rangie kaya naiwan ako nung 180 na.. Sana nga ginawang 220 speedo ng everest at ramdam ko sa pedal na meron pa ibibigay.

I wonder pano pa kaya yung 3.0. Mas lalo na yun.

Di rin siguro masyado matulin, kasi 4wd ata yung 3.0, so gross weight is higher..when you think about the power-to-weight ratio..(and also the gear ratio)..oks na oks na 2.5 2WD natin pang hi-way, a good blend of power and economy

I agree that it may have similar top speeds, but, it may differ on how fast it's going to reach it's top speed.

Hehe... I've tried racing with the 2.5s before and it's no match. Now that I have the 3 inch full exhaust and Vtech Redbox chip, even the stock 3.0 is sisiw.

Diyan ako matatalo sa 2.5.

Anyway, my FC when it was stock was around 7.5 to 8.5 km/L mixed. After the exhaust upgrade and the chip, it became 7-8 km/L mixed. One factor too is that I have 18 inch rims with 265/60R18 tires (bigger and heavier than stock).

We were planning to get one this December, my father and I visit the showroom at Ford Commonwealth, un winning blue ang naka display (wala ng iba so ung ibang color sa brochure na nakita), nung makita nya un nlang daw color na blue kse bihira pa meron gusto sana namin desert bronze or titanium gray kaso nasa limited ed. so out na yung 2 color na to. Other color available sa 4x2 m/t is black, white, highlight silver, ayaw narin namin un white kse un 97 starex (super old) namin white na. Iba kse un pagka blue nito compared sa blue ng Gen 2. Un black sobra dami ko na nakita. Iba kse un color sa ford website sa actual unit color nito kung sa net mo lang tignan, nagpa reserved na rin kse kami and dun sa form nilagay na namin is winning blue, baka pwede pa baguhin depende sa mga inputs nyo about colors. Pre, among the 4x2 colors, the blue stands out coz it a new color of the everest. Yung black, aside from maraming meron, maiinis ka dahil laging kita ang swirls sa paint at dumihin pa. Yung white naman, mas dumihin pa, laging kita ang stains. Yung silver naman, parang common lang ang color. Wala akong masamang tinapay doon sa mga pumili ng nabanggit ko.

Pero, it's really a matter of personal preference. Just imagine yourself with your car for the next 5 years.

*Drave:Thanks, input noted. Its true, its a matter of personal choices and I find the winning blue very attractive lalo na nung makita ko actual unit, the everest looks bigger and masculine. And Ford Commonwealth was so generous enough to give us 18 mo. 0% int. sa unit.

Price ng 2007 4x2 M/T Eve nasa 1.25M+ ...
fuel consumption -- wala pa akong idea. i think comparable naman sa ride ng 2007 ranger yan like rav_5's

mas mahaba yung leaf springs ng 2007 eve compared sa 1st gen, plus meron pang stabilizer bar at the rear with softer (and bigger diameter) shocks, thus giving a soft & comfortable ride.

yung 1st gen eve (like mine) pwede rin pagandahin ang ride sa rear. just change to softer shocks (i used pro-comp MX5 5-way adjustable shox) saka konting lithium grease in between the leafs, ayos na!

sir, tanong ko lang kung saan nabibili yung pro comp shox. i have 1-gen 4x4 eve.. any idea on adding more muscle sa power??
