"As for Fortuner, set to land next year, which Toyota has cited as a worthy rival for the new Ford? Worthington has left impression it’ll be no contest.
“This vehicle (Everest) competes in a range of markets around the world. In some markets it competes against Prado, in some it competes against Fortuna … in some it competes against both.
“We have benchmarked Prado. We have absolutely targeted … to be as good as them (Toyota), better than them, in many respects.”

In other countries maybe, but defeating Toyota in the Philippines is like McDo outselling Jollibee.
But if the Everest can actually outsell the Fortuner and the Montero Sport locally, I would gladly welcome it. Besides, who wouldn't want to see a closely battled top position between 3 contenders (Toyota, Mitsubishi, and Ford). This would definitely favor the car buyers.
Thank you sir for the reply. We're torn between this or the upcoming Fortuner e. Ayaw naman namin bumili agad kasi baka may problem or.something. Siguro pag matagal pa talaga released ng new Fortuner or wala to naging problem baka we'll go for the Everest na lalo na kung wala na DI
Ford Ranger was the best seller in 2014, so yes it's possible, for a year.
If Ford decides not to play the market share game & play the make-as-much-profit game instead, I say let them. And if it turns out that it will make their products turn pricier but includes a package of features & that undefinable feeling of quality when you're in their car, then I'll scrimp, save & borrow to get one.
I doubt that this will sell more na since spread out na all over sa fb and internet ang upxoming Forts and Pajero Sport
Iba na kase ang flow of information ngaun, ang bagal ng Ford to release the Everest.
Sa ganda ng Everest at sila ang unang mag re release ng units this coming september, Malamang sa Ford mapupunta mga potential buyers ng Fort & Monty.
Dang! The new Montero Sport gets a multi-view camera.
Does Ford even have a multi-view camera system in their parts bin? The new Explorer only gets a front & rear camera, no sides.
I think sa pricing na magkakatalo tsaka sa specs ba ilalabas nung 2 for pur country. Pero bang for the buck na din tong Everest.
