slmat sir reactor, meldoyu and astra22. Yung FC cguro given na yun basta komportable nman. Hope by December we could find a good deal na escape at sana may manual puro matic nakikita ko eh.. hehehe... More power!

Bro Gadja, if you can, get the quad headlights model. I think these are available to 2005 model up, Engine is 2.3 duratec already. Very powerful, makes overtaking easy.
Though I have some apprehension on the safety of the passengers at the cargo area, it may be doable.

Naah~ If Pinoys are OK with riding in the open bed of a pickup, this is nothing! We have tried fitting someone in the cargo area before. Around 5"8 male, 16 years old, approx. 180lbs. I don't think you can fit anyone else there. He had to stretch across since there was no legroom. That is unless you plan to let them sit cross legged for the entire trip, or that they are children.

Tuwing kelan to gnagawa? Ano kadalasan pinapalitan to maintain comfort and safety?

I'd suggest against repainting kung maganda pa ang paint job, kasi factory painting is almost always the best in terms of quality. But if you really have to, it varies greatly depending on the quality of labor and materials. I'd say around 30-50k.

That's right bro. I have a family friend who used to open a paint and body shop. Napaka-professional nila during their time (around 20 years ago na) and was among the best in the trade. As in talaga lahat ng equipment meron, pati na yung parang oven na pang-tuyo ng pintura. That's the best you can get outside of the factory. Ngayon daw that will cost around 5k per body panel. And yet he shares that even this kind of treatment is still inferior to factory painting na binababad talaga buong kaha sa kaldero ng pintura.

I personally like dark green, black and yellow.

Hi guys, do you think it is still ok to buy the current 2012 escape even though the 2013 model might come out soon? Taking into consideration the big discounts ford is giving. And comparing the escape also to the sportage? Thanks.

But siguro expect na hindi kasing presyo ang 2013 sa 2012 model ngayon. sa laki ng difference ng interior and exterior plus added technologies. Sa malamang papalo ang presyo ng 2013 model ng 1.4M up... sa price ng escape ngayon, eh very sobrang mura na compare to other suvs. The looks is very traditional compare to sportage or tucson. pero escape has been running for at least a decade already. it has been tested & proven na.

If all you want is a for keeps reliable car for everyday use then go for it. It'll serve you well.

Not very familiar with the Sportage. But based on the input of the owners, the 2.0L gas engine is not known for fuel efficiency. The Escape should also trump it in the chassis department and in terms of off road prowess for the 4x4 variant. But the Sportage is a much more modern car with much better looks. If you are going for the diesel, no contest na syempre.

Help guys, hope to get your suggestions,

i was able to buy a 2nd hand 2008 escape 2.3L 4x2 AT mileage around 56k already. Bago ko lang po napa change oil, ung oil and fuel filters ok pa naman so hindi pinalitan. Air filter is replaced and new already. Last FC ratio ko city driving was only around 4.9k/lit. I use shell unleaded plus ata un ung green color code nila. Any input or suggestion how i can increase the ratio? i was expecting to get around 7km/lit basing on other owner's input. Any help would be much appreciated.

That's odd. This sort of consumption is expected for the V6, but not the 2.3. But then your route figures big in this as well. If your daily route is extremely short, and is composed mostly of stop and go traffic, your gas mileage will suffer. Check also your tire pressure. It may be underinflated.

Bro, we have the same engine model though mine is the 2006 year model. I am averaging 6-7km/l. and has 37k on the ODO. Most of the times stop and go traffic leads to bad fc.
I don't know, but maybe a tune up will help improve your fuel consumption. I suggest you bring it to the nearest CASA or to any other reputable autoshop.

Yung amin 2006 Mazda Tribute 2.3L 4x2 with 42tkms on the clock. FC plays at around 7km/L talaga.

The length of your daily commute factors a lot as well. For example a daily commute of 20kms balikan or more will consume less in proportion than a daily commute of 10 kms balikan or less.

I recently bought a 2012 escape. I was also considering the kia sportage MT but mas value for money yung escape. aside from being cheaper than the sportage, the escape has more features and is AT already. i also like the beige interior of the escape vs. the black interior of the sportage.

for escape owners here, would you know where to buy accessories like cargo cover, tray, etc? (yung mura lang ha). thanks!

For accessories, you can visit Concorde or Blade at the nearest Malls. But for the cargo bay cover, i think only the Ford dealerships have this on order basis. P11k if i can recall. This is the retractable cover.

Comments on Ford Escape!??
