Meron DI back in demand yung model and may lack ng supply and pag ang brand is Ford.

Minsan you will encounter blood sucking dealer / SA like Ford Global.

Meron pang silang "Salesman Incentive" masquerading as "additional DI" sa Amount Financed.

So avoid any autohub dealer like Ford global and ford Manila.

Thanks sir ntlogin for the info. So hindi ako affected if i will purchase the car in cash. Although they are interested in selling to me accessories like window visor, back up sensor which seems ok with me if the price is competitive.

Sir rickybobby, kindly pm to me price of that front bumper chrome chin. Meron ba yung satin finish yung hindi makintab?

I got my Mars Red Ecosport Titanium. The best features in a mini SUV. And the oneI got my Mars Red Titanium Ecosport! I could compare the features in a European car. And the ride, parang kotse ang ride. I also appreciate the sunroof, proximity sensors with distance graphically showing in the small monitor, auto headlamps and wipers, keyless entry wherein you dont need to press the remote, just press the black button within the door handle and it automatically unlocks just as long the keyfob is in your pocket. And the sync. I appreciate so much. Let's go with the engine, let's just say it's average. Pero ang advantage nya over Gasoline suv, FUEL EFFIENCY. I managed to get 14.86 km per liter for a 60km light traffic. Comparable sya with subcompact sedans. Sa xtrail ang best FC ko is 10km per liter for light traffic. So I guess long term mas magiging matipid to compared sa previous SUV na pinalitan namin ng Ecosport.

    Wow Congrats...

I opted to go with another dealer. Cheaper by 80k+ but will have to wait a few weeks more.

That's a great decision. Natauhan siguro kasi cut-off ng sales nila since end month ng may yun.

WTH.. Sir fiber optic, I think you should report this at Ford Philippines. They have a FB account. Meron na din nag report and they usually reply by asking for the Dealer and the SA. I think pag dumadami na ang nagrereport they will be compelled to really look into this.

I've test-driven one, and I say I disagree with this.

The ride is worse than the other's SUVs in the market. The ride is definitely not comparable to a car.

However, IMO, still value for money, and a better buy vs. a car mainly because of the ride height and the features.

It's just my opinion coming from a Previous Compact SUV owner (Nissan Xtrail) and current MPV ride (Innova). Ride is just the same with the xtrail but definitely better than the Innova. But my deciding point is its fuel efficiency. Because I also considered Tucson and Sportage considering its price point. But this both SUV's are gas guzzlers. SUV's more than that price point, I can't afford anymore. 😄

So your definitive source of information is WIKIPEDIA? Hehehehe! Anybody can input "information" there. As "informative" as it is for many people wikipedia is not a repository of facts, as true encyclopedias are defined to be. Wikipedia is a mere collection of entries made by ordinary people who may or may not be knowledgeable about what they typed. Everything in it needs to be taken with lots of salt and common sense.

For all you know the entry on wikipedia for the ecosport could have been made by a ford sales agent!

And NO, it is not an suv. At best (and even in this it comes short, very short) it can be a CUV. A small crossover, in the same league as the suzuki sx4, below the tucson, lower still than the xtrail, and far from the leagues of rav4, crv, santa fe or sorento. A true suv begins with the likes of the ford explorer, mitsubishi pajero, nissan patrol and toyota land cruiser to name a few.

Kahit junior na suv hindi. Imagination mo lang yun.

    Taray ni yebo ah. ;-)

Anyway for me I dont look at it as an suv, nor a mini suv but a mini mini suv. It is so cute.

sir fiber optic, is it true that you cannot choose the ending number of your plate?

I share your ride report sir fiber coz i also test drove one and a manual at that. Power is not poweful but sufficient enough for regular uphill climb. And the ride is quiet and comfortable like a medium sized sedan.

Ano sagot nya kay shadow? "Read this!" I'm just giving him a taste of his own medicine. No offence meant, just giving an in-your-face retort to one who did the same to a fellow tsikoteer.

Mas may power.

Well you could have said it in a nice way. No need for animosity here between tsikoteers. Especially, if you are not the one involved. Unless of course you are related to shadow or know him/her personally, then I could understand how you reacted.

To be honest, If I'm the one being addressed by shadow's post, I would have viewed it as a slight to me. I think he already knows the answer to the question in the first place. Peace.

I read a lot of information about the car before i get one so I'm not battling whether it's an SUV or a crossover. The editors and people behind the car are the ones classifying it as an SUV. Yeah, Wikipedia is not a good source of information, but reading aside from Wikipedia might prove that Ecosport is indeed an SUV. Maybe in theory it is, but with its looks it may not pass to you as an SUV.

Here are some other readings that you may find some time to read. Don't worry I'm not trying to convince you, just so you know.

FYI respect begets respect and I know your ranking member 5 here in this forum. You know the drill in this forum so you should have said it in a nice way. My quote "read this" doesn't mean anything offensive at all. I'm just being informative because he might not know the information. If you feel it's disrespectful to say so, so be it. I'm sorry for him, i'm sorry for you. Because still I believe humility is next to humanity.

Yup. We cannot choose end plates with these new plates coming out. And also they are discouraging personalized plates since they want to exhaust these new plates first. Fyi. Thanks.

*fiber. Its our second car and i am frustrated by this ruling that we are not allowed to choose the end plate number. This is the main reason for our second car coz we bring our small kids to school everyday and its a problem without a car. Haaays. Kainis.

Do you mind mentioning the dealer where you got the ecosport? I am concerned about the attempted bribery that happened parang gobyerno ah. Hehe.

Let's just say somewhere up north. Regardless of the facts, I still believe with the benefit of the doubt. Minsan naaawa din ako sa mga ahente. There must be a reason, something personal behind it.

Yup it's true. D na pwede pumili ng end plates. I asked 3 dealers and they share the same information. Ngayon nga since conduction sticker ung reference nila for coding, parehong thursday ung coding ng sasakyan namin. Since nakatira kami sa province d naman kmi much affected. With your dilemma, siguro you could ask your SA na baka pwede at least iwasan ung existing end plate ng sasakyan nyo ngayon. Thanks

Fiber_optic somewhere in central luzon ba yan? I also experienced the same thing. The Sa told me, "alam mo maman siguro yung DI sir ni, nagkakaintindihan naman tayo." I'm getting my ford ecosport today from ford dagupan. Very friendly and accommodating sa ko.
