where's the Dragon engine? fancy name for a little 1.5 3cyl which probably sucks. and supposedly the new tranny isn't dual-clutch anymore

which reminds us of the phrase "don't fix it if it ain't broken". obviously the ecosport is very much broken that they needed to change its CORE components
No spare tire yet more expensive? Doesnt mke sense. The spare tire at the rear is classic look like the jimny and pajero.

That's because all models share the same rear stampings and swing-gate door mechanisms.
Other carmakers have done this too like Suzuki for example.

Based on the photos, the Asian and Brazil-spec EcoSoport will continue with the external spare tire.

The 1.5-liter naturally aspirated 3-cylinder engine made its debut in the Brazil-spec 2018 EcoSport (in flex-fuel form).
Output with gasoline: 130PS, 153Nm of torque
Output with Ethanol: 137PS, 159Nm of torque
Transmission is a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic.

In North America the 1.0 EcoBoost will be the standard engine for FWD models.
The AWD version will use a 2.0-liter naturally-aspirated GDI engine.

here's the roof molding of the AMBIENTE

when you remove the molding, are there THREADED HOLES for mounting a roof rack or roof rails?

Thanks. I asked Ford BGC if they have a theory on the burning ecosport at Startoll and they suspect after sales modification. Safe answer.

It could be a possibility, I think there were cases like that before.
I wouldn't jump to conclusion just because it's not a Japanese brand. It can happen to other brands too. Google a popular car brand + "fire" and you'll end up with a lot of photos too.

Yes, exotic cars catch fire too, even more often despite their lower volume.
