I changed mine to HIDs. I don't know where you went but HIDs for the Explorer is practically available
anywhere. It uses 9005 type of bulb. Make sure you use 4300k if you are after having brighter lights.

Our explorer doesn't have those problems. Although sometimes the cargo light seems to be malfunctioning.
Now, does anyone have any idea where to get step boards and mug guards? OEM or OEM look.

Noticed that the stock wheels are for 2011 model.

Wonder if the units coming in for 2012 will have new set of wheels

*109: Actually I don't like the design of the stock mags of my Explorer. Mas maganda yang pinost mo ng 2012 model.

Oh another initial impression when I got my unit was the ride. I noticed something different, maybe a little bumpy maybe due to the 20" wheels. O baka masyado lang ako maselan. But for now, sanay na ako sa ride, not a big deal.

3ple4, how do you compare the 'bumpy' ride to other SUVs you own or have driven?

Right now, i'm waiting for my white explorer to arrive.
But very concerned about the a-pillar noise and fuel consumption.

*109: Basta noong dinrive ko pauwi, I noticed something different with the ride tapos naisip ko baka dahil sa 20" rims. Pati kapatid ko yun din ang sabi when he rode it the first time. Pero di naman sobrang sama, it's just a minimal concern. My wife doesn't think its bumpy at the back.

My major concern is, since the whole vehicle is automated, in the long run due to wear & tear, pag may isang part na masira, baka affected yung buong vehicle? Example... If MFT suddenly breaks down, will it affect the operation of the aircon & radio? Although both also have separate controls (below the touch screen)

Isang ayaw ko di na feature ay yung 3rd row seat na power-fold. So pag masira, hindi na pwede i-fold down or vice versa. Sana ginawang manual na lang yan.

Tsaka tama yung sinabi sa review ng Roadfly, you can put your left arm on the door while you're driving kasi sa sobrang lapad ng Explorer.

*apple5, maybe it wasn't programmed well? or you can ask the dealer to program it and if problem still occurs they might offer free service. =)

Practically all Iphones & laptaps are auto volt meaning their AC adapter/charger can adapt from 100V-240V. 150W is more than enough to support both. In fact, if you put a splitter, you can use both gadgets on the same single source.

Just curious, what's the manufacture date of your ride (month specific) found in vehicle certification label, usually on the
    driver door frame?

Confirmed by FGP, the 2.0 GTDi ecoboost version is coming this year, if it will be priced somewhere in 1.7 to 1.8 million php, it would be within striking distance to montero and fortuner buyers. I hope Hindi lalo lumaki ulo ng mga dealers. Lalo na parating na rin all new ranger and focus.

May estimate na sila sa magiging local price? But I just checked the Ford USA web site and there is still no price for the ecoboost version. Hindi pa ata on sale sa US market?!

No estimate yet, No definite date yet when it would be introduced. If this ecoboost version even with 4x2 only is priced very competitively, I think if would replicate ford expedition success here before gas prices had skyrocketed several years ago. Compared with high volume sellers montero and fortuner, it's like you're driving already an SUV in the 22nd century IMHO.

lamborghinione, I agree it would be a success if they price the 4x2 2L ecoboost at around 1.8M, but i don't think the base model will be coming in soon, as long as the limited sells like hotcake.
Base explorer costs almost $10k less than the limited, enough to bring the price tag to sub 2M, who needs MFT anyway?
Matipid pa sa gaso, 2L 4-i. Mahintay na lang kaya yun? :D

If Ford could just fit those diesel engines from all new ranger into the new explorer, No need to create the all new everest IMHO. Just make the all new explorer compete head on with Montero and Fortuner. Maybe I"m just dreaming!

2.0L ecoboost FWD equipped is just $1k less than the standard 3.5 V6 4WD, ang laki ng difference sa price kung 1.7-1.8M lang.
If that's the case, they must be sending the base model Explorer or XLT and not the Limited.
