    Yeah the white Explorer was the best looking. The only downside I saw was the tires. HANKOOK, cheapo naman nyan for the Explorer. Sana European na lang like Continental or Michelin...

    Yan na yung matagal kong inaantay. Talagang pinanindigan ng Ford Phil na 4Q pa bentahan since sabi nyo October pa hehe! Sana wag abutin ng 3M. Pwede malaman saan yung venue na pinuntahan nyo?

    Kung 2 tone with black sana na highlight kahit kunti super ok na for me. Ganda ng mags ng new everest eh. Sana agnun ang datig para SUV talaga na macho hehehe

    Ilabas na nila yan at wag nang paabutin pa ng October..AFAIK the Chevrolet Traverse is coming too this year at mas maaga ng ilang months ang launch nya sa new Explorer..

    Yeah let's hope na nasa 2.6 Million to 2.8 Millon Pesos ang pricetag ng new Explorer!

    Wala bang JPEPA version ang US? Para makamura hehe! So kung around P2.4M ang price, then talagang double yung price dito vs in the US. Ganon ba kalaki ang tax na binabayaran or malakas lang managa ang Ford?

    2WD tapos P2.4M? Parang ang mahal. Ano ba specs? Pajero BK na lang.

    The top of the line Explorer Limited on display appears to be 4WD.

    You can see the "Terrain Management System" knob on the lower part of the pic.

    The 2011 Explorer Limited 4WD costs $40,360 in the US.

    For comparison the standard length 2011 Expedition XLT 4x2 (plus the leather seat option which is standard on the local units) costs $42,075 in the US, local price is P2.99M.

    My guess is, the new Explorer Limited 4WD will be in the P2.8M+ range.

    I wasn't at the launching but based on the specs its closer to the size of a Land Cruiser LC200... but a bit longer and lower.

    Not sure about the Edge, but the current Kuga will be replaced soon.
    A new One Ford compact SUV based on the Vertrek concept will replaced the current Kuga and Escape.

    Its basically a Kuga Mk2.

    Actually, it's quite cheap.

    Mahal nga lang maintenance. But that's about it, though.

    Ford Group Philippines shows off new Explorer - News | TopGear.com.ph

    One of the highlights of the recent Ford sales rally--in which Ford Group Philippines raffled off a brand-new Fiesta sedan to its sales force--was the unveiling of the all-new Explorer. Covered in balloons the whole evening, the much-awaited Ford contender in the premium midsize SUV segment delighted guests when it was finally presented as the event wound down to a close.

    The display unit was a top-of-the-line Limited edition, which packs a 3.5-liter, 290hp V6 under the hood. Besides this variant, two trim levels of the 2.0-liter, 237hp, in-line-four EcoBoost version will be made available to the Philippine market by October, an FGP executive informed us. On the night of the sales convention (July 4), each Ford dealer principal was already issued a brand-new unit for pre-selling purposes.

    October looks like an exciting month for the segment in which the Explorer competes. Around this time, too, Chevrolet Philippines is expected to officially launch the all-new Traverse, while CATS Motors is said to be introducing a diesel version of the Jeep Grand Cherokee (with air suspension to boot). Decisions, decisions...

    UPDATE: FGP's communications head sent us an e-mail to correct our story. "With regard to the all-new Explorer EcoBoost variant, we previously communicated that this will not be made available this year." There you have it--the 3.5-liter V6 Explorer first and the EcoBoost to follow later (presumably next year).

    2WD din naman yung current Explorer eh. Got our Explorer 2.295M way back 2008. Ngayon 2.395M na.

    Kung 2.4xxM yung bago, sulit na yun.
