Mas gusto pa rin ng mga buyers ang V6 kesa Ecoboost. Isa pa nga lang ang nakikita kong Ecoboost on the roads, silver color with Ford Libis plates. Baka siguro nabasa nila yung reviews sa U.S. kaya nilalangaw ang Ecoboost dito haha!

Been in Pico de Loro, Batangas last 2 days. Ave. consumption of 7.5km/liter. Hataw mode and traffic in Tagaytay pabalik. Got my unit last 1st week of May but till now wala pang plate. Talaga bang matagal ang plate release ngayon?

got my unit at May also and the plate came out around last week of june or 1st week of july.

Dadami na raw allocation dito by January, pag sara ng assembly plant sa Santa Rosa. And Ford is planning to bring the V6 Ecoboost here daw.

foresterx - Regular plate or Special plate? I will push again my S.A for the plate. I can't use the car in Makati area.

regular plate lang, i don't like special plate kasi dahil you have to pay more and selling the car can be a disadvantage when you have a special plate.

Hanep ah, talagang nilaspag at ginamit ng husto tapos ibebenta kaagad. Para lang siguro masabi na "naka-own ako ng Explorer"

Guys, how do you operate your Explorer's aircon? Kasi ang alam ko you don't have to switch off the aircon when turning off the engine parang noong dinemo ko. But I always do it the traditional way, switch off aircon then turn off engine and vice versa. Ang naiinis lang ako is... whenever I switch on the A/C, palaging naka-off yung air recirculation button (yan ba tawag dun), ang hassle kasi I have to push that button to turn it on. Tsaka yung temperature, palaging naka-auto mode. Hindi ba pwede kung ano yung last setting mo, e yan din yung same setting in the future?

In general, ang nakagawian ko is to shut-off the aircon compressor about 500mtrs from my final point of destination & just let the blower run. Then before shutting of the engine, i will turn off the blower. For explo, i just switch off the ac then off-the engine. So when i turn on again the engine, only the blower will auto start to run, then after engine sa stabilize, will i turn on the AC, followed by the internal circulation, then dual switch on, in that order.

just leave the a/c on when you turn off the engine para pag on ganon pa din ang setting. btw sino na nag pa projector dito kay garyq?

Got my white Explorer Limited today from Ford Libis. Will post pics when i can take shots in the daytime.

Its feels kinda lazy though compared to the cx9. Kick down isnt so good. And the manual mode toggle is wierd and doesnt work on D mode....only in M mode. Other than that its really nice. Havent had a chance to try the auto park feature yet.

At least the MyFord Touch seems responsive though i have to check if its the latest 3.2.2 version. I saw a 2012 model (grey) being reflashed with the new firmware in Ford Libis. 6 hours daw the service assistant mentioned and the car has to be running!

Congrats bro with your new toy & welcome to the club of explo owners here. So, what was the various deal that SA manage to get from you just to get it released?

Well its official! for me about 4km/liter in makati /pasig/katipunan/c5 traffic hehe. I went to the office in makati from my home in q.c. Did a few errands in makati. Drove back home. Spent 1000 pesos on gas hehe. Back to the trusty Jazz for daily driving lol.

I know how you feel! Ung una ganyan din. first ride fill up was P2500. A few days later P2500 again haha! Gamit ko na lang for long drives ang EX para mas sulit. Then, when in the city, back to 4-cylinder X-trail (which hindi rin ganoon ka tipid).

And oh, prices of fuel are expected to go up next week. Heard through the grapevine: diesel up by P.30 while gasoline up by P.40-P.50. So enjoy na while gas is still cheaper this week!

Is the 4km/l for the 3.5 engine? and the 7km/l for the ecoboost version?

I feel you too man So far 4.5 km/liter yung worst ko city driving with traffic. That's why I don't drive it everyday kundi butas bulsa ko hehehe!!

I knew that this wouldnt be an everyday car. So i am cool with the gas mileage. Am looking at using it only on weekends or out of town trips with my little kids.

I find the side window sills a little bit high. And i am 5'11 . So its hard to see the shorter cars beside you. Have to trust the blind spot indicators on the side mirrors. Also the left side mirror sucks. Its not the same as the right side mirror. Its not curved so parang the field of view is very small and the magnification is too big. Gotta buy a mirror add-on for that.

I need black mags.....

Yan din complaint ko (re: left side mirror) when I got my unit. So what I do is use the small mirror at the upper left corner coz diyan tayo sanay. That kind of magnification is also used in my brother's 2nd gen Tucson's left side mirror.

So if we're going to have our MFT upgraded sa casa, ano yung ma-a-upgrade... yung S/W version or Sync version lang or both?
