Tuned my explorer v6. Better torque (left side graph) and modest hp gain (right side graph ). Better throttle response too! Am happy.

Guys, an accessories dealer said that he will be importing a module to hack into our Explorer's GPS system and we will be able to use 3rd party maps/gps.

May parating daw sya na modules and susubukan pa lang niya sa isa nilang customer. That's why he cannot guarantee that it will work. The module is from Taiwan. Balitaan na ang daw niya ako kung gumana

That's also the supplier who I bought the EXPLORER emblem from, meron din syang iba-ibang Explorer accessories like rear bumper cover (yung nilalagay sa ibabaw ng rear bumper, pero wala syang stock ngayon, may parating sya na OEM pero meron din ibang klase na galing Taiwan), rain visors, door knob bowl, etc...

Due na pala akin for maintenance, diko napansin time almost 1 year na since last balik sa casa. Kaso since last year pms natakbo palang til now is 1,000kms. Hindi ba sayang or need na din talaga? Out of warranty na naman din

Hindi mo pa na consume the oils designated life span under use so why spend unnecessarily? No need and the car will still perform as it should be without any hassle. As i have always say, hindi naman napapanis ang langis.

My explo nga i drop by casa thinking i'm due at 15K pms despite almost a year na. Sabi sa akin, balik ko na lang daw pag dating ng 20K kasi yun ang due period as per their record.

Ah okay. So oks lang if antayin ko nalang muna after 5t or 10t kms before bumalik, wag ko nalang sundin yung time basis (6months-1year)? Tumatawag at text kasi ford alabang, matagal na daw due. Dun ko lang nalaman na medyo matagal ko na nga since last balik but ang baba lang kasi ng tinakbo eh around 1t kms lang.

Ano ba basis ng oil life sa instrument cluster? Umilaw sakin yellow e, "change engine oil soon" daw. Hehe

Also, any review kung ok pa ba service sa ford alabang? How about ford manila bay?

The oil life info alert's the driver that a change oil is due. I am just not sure if it's defined by distance traveled in miles or kilometers as the display show 0-100 %. I normally just reset it as i monitor my oil change on the kilometer traveled at the ODO which i normally mind set at 10K kms being fully synthetic ang gamit ko.

As for the service, i alwayas had mine sa Ford Alabang , no idea about Manila Bay. On my next service, dito na lang sa Ford Sta Rosa para malapit and they are of same owner & staff with Alabang.

Don't buy that crap advise ng casa. Do it by kilometers traveled not time driven. My explo is more than a year already after it had it's pms. I brought it to the casa for pms a last Jan. Sabi sa akin, sir 15K pa lang , sa 20K na kayo bumalik as per our record. Kilala na kasi ako sa casa kaya they don't dare to screw me up with that time crap. To date, the car is 18K kms only and casa just wait for me to bring it in, they not bother to txt alert me anymore.

Sige sir, pabayaan ko nalang muna lumagpas 1year. Parang sayang nga lang kasi eh since baba pa ng tinakbo. Kahit siguro paabutin ko kahit mga 5,000 tapos dun ako mag decide if ibalik. Kaso tingin ko baka abutin nanaman ng another 1year di pa umabot sa KMS required. Hindi ba masama sa engine yun lumang oil?

Btw, humingi ako sa Ford alabang ng estimate, mga 9,500php daw gastos for 30,000PMS tapos ang papalitan lang is oil and oil filter, yung iba inspect/top up lang.

I just want to report my experience in owning the 2013 EX Limited with 6 months warranty remaining.

EXHAUST SMELL is still prevalent inside the cabin.

Windshield noise is still there after being repaired twice for A-pillar and .

SMELL from AC is still present at times even when AC is off.

HOOD PAINT BUBBLES just emerged and dumadami na. (for warranty paint na rin)

Front PAssenger side door is lopsided to begin with but parang lalung lumalala.

Turn signal ay SOOOOOBRANG malutong pa rin. (for warranty replacement)

I don't want to sell the car pero more and more na I want to.

Takeaway from this: Never buy a 1st or 2nd generation of the latest model. Best to wait for the 3rd generation para kahit paano ay naayos na ang mga initial flaws.

maraming problema ang ford. hindi lang ikaw ang may reklamo.
one time i was listening to this station in am band. galit na galit yung ford owner. he bought a brand new e150. pag umuulan, tumutulo sa loob. repaired 2x pero hindi parin maayos.
sabi ng ford sa kanya... bibigayan na lang daw siya ng 2 full tank voucher para quits na sila. sagot ng customer, ikaw kaya bigyan ko ng 2 voucher at ayusin mo auto ko.
imo, the risk of getting a lemon in ford is high.

on my explorer naman after owning it for 2 1/2 years the only problem i encountered is the exhaust smell. never experienced any of the other problems dragonexplorer had. i was very happy with mine and actually regret selling it. planning to get an explorer sport next year if it's still available. don't like the all new explorer kasi. mine was a 1st gen of the current body model btw.

Burnt smell - after TSB, parang ok na naman almost close to none.

Hood paint bubble - went in for warranty before, ok na din hindi na bumalik

Wala na naman ako naexperience pa, and hoping wala na. No plans on selling it for now, wala p din ako nakikitang ok na ipalit if ever. Happy pa naman ako sa ngayon. Hehe

not all dealers are owned by the same entity or the manufacturing car brand.
some are owned by entities independent of the manufacturer.
some have higher overhead than others... location.. facilities.. workforce.., etc.
