Your better off triple J since sabi mo nabawasana na kahit paano yung sa unit mo. Most of us here are still waiting
for the success of your unit only then we will our units sa casa.

I do understand that it's the exhaust fume getting into the cabin. I was wondering in which part sa likod has leak or opening
for the fume to get in ? Why can't it not be totally closed ?

They say exhaust fumes daw, so CO yun and dangerous. They cannot seem to find how fumes got suck in behind. Sabi ko nga extend nila tail pipes by 2 inches baka it will solve their (and my) problem

You just gave me an idea. May be it's something to do with the rubber along the back door. It might not be sealing tightly or meron
gap for the fume to enter. Check ko nga this aspect.

Hindi pa. Still awaiting shipment from the US. Na delay kasi yung shipment because the container was inspected by US Customs. Probably this week until next week ang arrival.

Hi guys. Our explorers are covered by the recall as announced today by Ford:

    http://www.abs-cbnnews.com/business/...cars-worldwide

WASHINGTON - Ford on Monday announced the recall of 465,000 model 2013 cars worldwide to fix a possible fuel leak that has the potential to catch fire.

The vehicle models include the 2013 Ford Explorer, Taurus, Flex, Fusion, Interceptor Utility, Interceptor Sedan, and Lincoln MKS, MKT and MKZ, Ford said.

The fuel delivery module in the cars can leak and customers have reported both fuel odors and signs of leaking fuel on the ground.

"While a fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source may result in a fire, there have been no reports of fires," Ford said.

"We are not aware of any accidents or injuries attributed to this condition."

Most of the cars were sold in the United States and Canada, but some 53,000 were delivered in other markets.

    Sh*t!

Sorry for the bad word! But this might be the cause of that smell we notice inside the cabin.

This could also be the reason why my average fuel consumption is stuck between 6.5-6.85 km/liter no matter how I try to be efficient in driving.

I always check my EX before and after filling up as well as every trip. So far there is no leak on the ground. Might be wise to take extra precautions such as limiting the delivery or punching the gas pedal that much.

Ang sama pa nito ay "LACK OF SUFFICIENT PARTS"! Parts and replacement might be delayed for 3 months. Great.....

Just to be safe, ask your dealer about this, specially if there manifestations of gas leak i.e. odor inside the cabin or gas leak on ground. Take note the water dripping from ac sometimes happens.

From the news, it's only 2013 models so we should be safe(mine is 2012) but let me check with Ford Alabang or FGP and let you know.
Yung Flex Fuel means it can run Ethanol mixed gas.

Hindi ba lahat ng bagong kotse ngayon ay pwede na gumamit ng ethanol blended gas. And besides, all petrol (except for Blaze ata) sold in the Philippines are already mixed with ethanol.

I checked my VIN sa https://owner.ford.com/servlet/Conte...ge/RecallsPage

It came back with no recall notice so from this hindi kasama ang unit ko. I have already asked Ford Alabang. They will get back to me as soon as they get more information.

I just came from Ford Alabang earlier. Wala pa silang na received na advise on the gas line thing. Ford Phil will send letters daw for those units affected.

The good news is they have worked on some units already with the fume smell issue at higher RPM. I got mine scheduled for Monday. Will take them a week daw to get it done,

Yup, rootersph was the first one they fixed. They also fixed mine. But I have to be honest with you - it's not 100% fixed. It's more like 90%. But the fix has significantly reduced the smell. Ford Alabang has done a great job!

Just thought I'd share an informative post by Sgt1411 regarding the massive fuel recall by FORD from explorerforum.com:

I had the opportunity today to have the recall explained to me in detail. Its amazing how the media has warped the facts.

On the top of the fuel pump there is a connection nipple to the fuel line made out of plastic. This part is provided to Ford by an outside vendor, Ford doesn't make it.

When the nipple was being manufactured the QC on the plastic composition was not correct and the Ford build specs were not met.

The part was installed and the poorly made plastic nipple started to deteriorate as more fuel was pushed through the connection nipple. The higher your mileage, the more fuel is passed through the nipple, the quicker it deteriorates and your nipple cracks and leaks causing fuel smell.

Low use vehicles, pass less fuel through the nipple, the deterioration is slower and doesn't produce the cracks and leaks.

This was caught months ago and the newest builds had new parts installed. Not sure what the cutoff was but it was some time ago near the beginning of the year.

The pump sits directly under the second row seats in the Explorer.

There is little or no risk of fire as the pump is not around any heat source that can cause combustion.

To ensure the parts aren't confused.

Gray nipple is GOOD (new part)

Black nipple is BAD (old part)

So Ford takes the PR hit when it was actually another vendor making a substandard part that didn't meet the required specs.

All the car manufacturers outsource parts from various companies. Therefore, it is the car manufacturer's responsibility to make sure that parts supplied to them work well.

It's good though that Ford is finally addressing such issues though as I've noticed that many Explorers seems to have this problem.

I test drove spynz's explorer kanina to feel the sct power upgrade. Nice throttle response. Better acceleration. Really nice. Getting my sct from him.
