Just wondering, how did you guys complied to the new MMDA ordinance that new cars should have a temporary conduction no. plate installed? Any suppliers of customized plates here?

Made of acrylic plastic and computer generated/cut na sticker characters. Cost me 400 pesos for the two. Kulang nlang LTO sticker..hehe

Hmmm...come to think of it...the conduction stickers should be translated as the License Plate Number once the combination of XXX - ### is completely depleted.
I bought my EX last September 2012 and received the License Plate Number in February. No LTO sticker until now though.
Is this a new MMDA ordinance ? How good is it tha thye require it stated pa sa plate area. The conduction sticker is
already their basis so let them read what the heck is in the sticker. If their concern is it ain't readable, then they require
car manufacturer to enlarge it. Damn stupid people in MMDA.
Finally finished reading 198 pages!very nice infos gathered.. thank you guys
So excited to get my unit!![]()
ONLY IN THE PHILIPPINES
You won't regret it
My friend bought his Avanza on Jan or Feb of this year. Nauna niya nakuha yung plaka. Tapos yung sticker nakuha na niya ata last April.
I had my escape renewed registration last March. Ang **** sticker na lang wala pa. After paying thousands, a mere sticker they cannot produce.
at pa cute.
OT, i happen to drop by the National Orthopedic Hospital along Banawe. Oh my goodness, it was a horrible sight to be in & get treatment. It's like a slaugther house sa palengke. dirt and garbage everywhere, paints & wall totally deteriorated.
agad. I pity my inanak na doctora dun. I told her get the ghell out of this building, it ain;t doing you any good. That's how is the sad state of goverment
run institutions are. pagnanakawan lang ng corruption, without pity to the indigents.

[QUOTE=b170;2135965]My unit is a 2013 Model Year (MY) already. There have been 2 previous generations before the 2013 MY. A lot of the first generation problems have already been dealt with. However, I believe the EXHAUST SMELL in the cabin has not been totally fixed even in newer generations. I recently had the following TSB (technical service bulletin) done on my unit as advised by another forum member, rootersph:
1) TSB 12-8-8: Rotten Egg Smell from A/C
2) TSB 12-12-4: Exhaust Smell in Cabin
3) TSB 12-1-11: A-Pillar (Have to do the driver side twice because the technician cracked it)
One might expect a lot from a P2.695M vehicle, but I personally have to advise you to temper your excitement or at least prepare for what you will get from the quality. In other words, the quality is not Toyota nor Volkswagen.
Personally, I like the 2013 Explorer because of: the comfortable and quiet ride, plush/comfortable leather seats, safety features, hi tech electronic goodies, spacious (esp. for a 5'4" guy like me), sufficient power mated to an efficient 6-speed transmission, HID lights, surprisingly fuel efficient for a naturally aspirated V6, and most of all, the GWAPO/ASTIG looks.
On the other hand, I still wish FORD had made the 2013 Explorer with: BETTER and STURDIER plastic trims, more responsive MY FORD TOUCH (MFT), access to the free upgrade of MFT locally, LESSER HI-TECH (possible failure in the future or after warranty period), and more available colors.
But overall, I would still say I LOVE OUR EXPLORER even with my complaints.
*dragonexplorer: amen to that..... "and most of all, the GWAPO/ASTIG looks."
btw, what will i look for sa pagkuha ko ng unit? i mean aside sa mga dents/scratches kung meron.. where to locate the tools etc?
thanks
3.5 V6 in white
actually nawawalan na ko ng gana sa ex again because of the long line.. actually i placed my order 1st week of march at alabang, pampanga, san pablo, edsa.. funny thing is both ford edsa and pampanga are trying to rob me.. "sir meron tayo available unit kaya lang black and ang requirement ay 10% di" what???!!!!!! i told them oi oi oi no deal.. isaksak nyo sa tiyan ninyo yang mga unit na yan.. until recently my sister in law helped me out, call a few friends and voila.. a 3.5 ex is available and it's in whiteand a colleague of mine also be getting his unit also in white.
i don't believe that there's a scarcity with the ford explorer in the philippines.. it's just ford philippines is very much taking advantage of the situationoh well to each his own
getting itchy to get the k&n intake kit.. meron na nagpalagay aside from sir spynz? and also stepboard?
I bought a stepboard from the US. I'm still waiting for the shipment to come.
Things to inspect upon release of your new unit:
1) Free Original Explorer Vinyl matting Set
2) Fuel Hose
3) Spare tire
4) Jack and tire wrench
5) Cargo Net
6) Manual
7) 2 set of keys
8) Check the version of your MY FORD TOUCH (MFT) - do this by going to the settings from the menu and check the firmware for details
9) Make sure to test out all electronic items and have them train you. I'm sure gusto nila un.
10) ENJOY!
Just took in my unit again today to have the A-pillar replaced after I found a crack. So far, my experience with FORD Alabang Group has been great. They have been very helpful. It's a trip nga lang from Makati to Alabang hehe!
In my opinion, NEVER EVER GIVE IN TO THE 10% D.I. and In-HOUSE FINANCING (if you have an alternative). Gimik yan ng mga Dealers to rack in more sales. Ford Laguna (a member of Ford Alabang Group) advised me against the in-house financing since it is too high. The Dealers get a certain % din naman even if you avail financing from your own bank.
