1,623 kilometers on a single tank of fuel (mostly highway * 80kph max speed)
All-new 2012 Ford Ranger achieves 19.44 km/L in Fuel Economy Run
Ford Philippines with the presence of representatives from the Department of Energy(DOE) tested the all-new 2012 Ford Ranger for its fuel consumption by staging a fuel economy run. On a single tank of fuel, the all-new 2.2-liter Ford Ranger XLT M/T managed to travel a total of 1,623 kilometers averaging an incredible 19.44 km/l on its entire journey from Manila, Subic, Clark and Tarlac City.
Representatives from the Department of Energy (DOE) was present during the economy run to witness the process and results, including refuelling of the vehicles at its conclusion to verify results.
With the test vehicle subjected to DOE examination prior to the run, with the Ranger’s hood, lift gate and fuel lid being checked and officially sealed, it made its way to the northern and central parts of Luzon, mixing highway and city driving conditions.
The vehicle had two participants - including a driver and navigator – and was set to normal driving conditions, windows were closed at all times and the air-conditioner was set and secured at speed “1” for the entire duration of the drive.
The run was performed at average speeds between 40-80kph depending on traffic conditions, with the results clearly demonstrating the Ranger’s superior fuel efficiency. Tire pressure on both the front and rear tires are set to 38PSI
“The results of our test drive have confirmed, without question, the all-new Ford Ranger as a class leader of fuel economy in the Philippines,” said Dino Obias, assistant vice president, Marketing, Ford Group Philippines.
Later this month, Ford will host a second fuel efficiency test run with members of the Philippine media which will challenge participants to try and beat these already impressive numbers.
Kala ko nung una pangit un stock rims. Ganda na pala pag mas malaki un tires..
Mga boss Good Evening!
First time poster long time lurker. Anyway my family is in the market for a pick-up. I suggested we get the new Ranger. What we need is a pickup with the biggest bed space since we need it to carry our goods. Anybody have a bed space dimensions list para macompare namin sa iba? And how long will we wait for the second batch? Planning to get before the year ends.
By the way I work for Isuzu but will soon resign to help with the family business. I love our D-max, but this truck is toooo ***ay! Saw three Rangers today, two in blue and one in silver and our mind was made up. Ang macho! But alam ko bigger doesn't necessarily mean longer bed space since I know the D-max has a bigger bed space than the beefier Hilux
Hi, Im a newbie here, for those a new Ranger owner you are lucky to owned one, ako kasi until now the unit is not available according to my SA wala pa rin daw kc dumarating na Matic lahat Manual, naka reserve ako since June pa.
Anyone can confirm kung talagang wala pang Matic..tnx
After being fed-up with the dealership where I made a reservation last April (they want 3% D.I.). I searched for an SA online and luckily found this SA who was very courteous and did not demand for anything other than what is required. After giving him all the necessary requirements, my Ranger was released only after 2 days since I first talked to him. Siguro swerte lang kase mayroong unit. You may contact Mr. Ian Clamor at 09156704895 or his wireless landline at 5091199.
Oh I am sorry, I am not aware that it is prohibited to refer or recommend my SA. But if you refer to me as being a rep... no I am not a sales rep... I have several posts on Ford's Facebook page as well as posts on this forum complaining about Ford dealerships.
Ok I understand if Mods delete the number I posted and people just PM me for his number if they are interested. Kasi I got mine through PO without Dealers Incentive without insurance... medyo overpriced lang yung LTO Registration at 9,800.

Do you experience wheel well tire rubbing with the new A/T tires ?
It gets noisy at above 70 kph but I don't really mind. I'm driving a lot slower than I used to but it's not because the bigger wheels affected the ride that much, it's just that I'm still getting used to it. I'll take it off-road this Sunday, I'll let you know how it goes.
