really? toyota did this DI thing when they first realeased the fotuner. ayaw ng cash at puro inhouse financing nilang back then. parang mas ok pa ang DI kesa sa mga rates ng financing nila nun. try to browse old thread.
btw, DI is common sa lahat ng bank PO. dun kumikita dealers. kahit ordinary na di mabili kotse e me DI pag kumuha ka thru financing. normal nga lang is .5 to 1%.
They know because I complained last June. It is that stupid high D.I. scheme that made us not buy the Explorer for the mean time. FGP knows but is not doing anything. The only they said to me is that they sell their vehicles wholesale to all their dealers, and the dealers will make their own policy when it comes to selling the vehicle to a client.
There are more Rangers on the road than the Colorado because it's the only new pickup truck that has a 4x2 A/T that is priced at 1.1M pesos, which city dwellers really like. The Colorado on the other hand only has a 4x2 M/T variant and is a few thousand pesos more expensive than the Ranger 4x2 A/T variant. Most of the Colorado buyers are from the provinces and buy the 4x4 A/T and M/T variants.
mga sir everybody did the DI thing toyota, mitsu, hell even hyundai.. its just a way for dealers and agents to earn extra cash because they know that they have a hot in demand item with limited stocks everybody wants to have. i.e. in 2006 the fort some even took the bait of +250k just to get in front of the line, with mitsu their monty they charged up to 5% DI when stocks are low, with hyundai with the tucson they dont take anything lower than 3% DI, and with ford with the ranger last month it was 2% DI but now its 5% DI and also when they released the explorer they were asking up to 10% DI and in some point the buyers are paying the DI up front to the dealer.. people will do anything to buy and get the vehicles that they want. and the dealers knows this and sasamantalahin nila un.
My apologies again but when i bought my fortuner and monty, wala ako na encounter na "D.I.". Not dance instructor ha. Hehehe![]()
sir actually the rule is that the buyer must not know about the DI.. there are dealers out that tries to hide it. kasi they know it will put them in bad light.. especially with in house financing they usually charge 5% di no matter what unit you get and will not tell you this.
I smell a SA posting here. Very defensive of the dealer's incentive. I will share a story about that dealer's incentive.
Once upon a time, last June 2005, we reserve for a Fortuner 3.0 V. We said to the SA, ok lang kasi November pa namin kukunin kahit nasa baba kami ng pila. So we waited. When Toyota released the 2.5 G variant, we transfered our reservation to the 2.5 G variant. Then ang sabi sa amin, "Sir, kung gusto niyo mauna sa pila, mas maganda kung in-house financing kayo pero ok lang na bank P.O. pa rin". We sticked to the bank PO pero para mabigyan kami ng unit, we had to shell out 50k for the Kelseat leather seats. So 50k lang ang nilabas namin in order na makuha namin yung Fortuner namin by November.
Another story, last August 2009, low on stocks ang Mitsubishi for the Montero Sport. We payed the reservation fee and said to the SA, "October pa namin gustong makuha yung unit". Payag naman sila. We payed through bank PO pero the dealer wants us to get the in-house insurance in order to have a unit ready for our target delivery date. So we shelled out 33k pesos for the in-house insurance.
Both Toyota and Mitsubishi only asked 1% dealer's incentive to our bank.
Bottom line of my story is, Toyota and Mitsubishi didn't ask for a very high dealer's incentive if they have a hot selling vehicle that has limited stocks. The problem with Ford is, their dealers want a buyer to buy this and that from them and they will ask the bank to give them a very high dealer's incentive on top of the bank PO's interest rate in order to get a unit immediately or at the buyer's preferred delivery date. That's how greedy Ford dealers are.
more appropriately named "stealership".
Ahente ako before so I know normally dapat talaga di tataas ng 1%. Kadalasan .5 pa, minsan 0 hahaha. Ang ahente walang kita dun. Usually pag P.O., syempre it depends on the amount financed to calculate for the D.I. but the agent gets only 20% of the 1% D.I. If that's 800,000 amount financed, the agent gets 1,600 of the P8,000 1% D.I. Less tax pa yun since taxable na din ang commission now. Well that's how it was in the dealership I worked for. So I'm saying don't blame the agent kaagad, it's the "stealership" nga talaga pocketing your money![]()
But now that I'm not an agent anymore and the buyer now, we won't be getting a unit demanding more than 1% D.I. Didn't work for Ford but we want this truck haha
:poke::poke::kill: ang masama baka nilalagpasan pa nila yung pila ng naunang Bank p.o. pag may nakuha silang in house f. na client,
That happensLalo na nun Thailand typhoon incident. Lahat low on stock. Kunyari ubos na units pero pag may willing mag inhouse or pay the premium DI, magic! May unit na. It's business.
Edit: Pero back to the topic, anyone know if may camper shell available na for the Ranger?
Sakanila na lang yang mga ranger nila wag na nila ibenta kung ganian. Sana kasi walang magpaloko sa mga ganiang pakulo nila, para bumagsak ang sales nila at nang tumino sila.
