I don't think that it only happens kung mali ang timpla, mine engages when I reached 30kph since sa accelerator lang ako nakatapak when it engages, besides there's somebody who owns an AUTO TRANNY that says it happens to his T6 as well. It seems that it is normal since it is consistent to happen when it reaches a specific speed, I just want to know what it is just to be sure

it happens every time i reach 30kph speedometer reading from initial engine start up, regardless of distance travelled below 30 kph... it may not be normal (non issue) but common... we don't know if it is normal or a concern to be dealt with until we know what is causing it...

Mga 150 pages ago, napagusapan na 'to and ABS nga yan.

Before 30 kph your ABS isn't active. Meaning kahit magbrake ka ng todo you wont feel any rapid pumping from your brake pedal. Besides, its pretty hard to have your brakes lock up when youre going that slow.

After 30 kph, the system engages and you hear a tinny sound. The fact that it happens with ALL Rangers means that it's nothing to worry about.

Just read sa top gear, Euro 5 na daw ang SeaOil! May added value ba to compared as Unioil's Euro 4?

I still think ots a marketing ploy as their website has a misleading statement on how they achieve eu 5 stansards (by adding additives???). Also I would stick to eu 4 for better lubrication. Masyadong OA na ang eu 5. Kung ganun ko kamahal ang environment, mag bike nalang ako.

Agreed with you. Euro 4 fuels are intended for Euro 4 compliant vehicles with catalytic converters and Diesel Particulate Filter. Local Rangers are not Euro 4 compliant yet. Same with Japanese brands here. No expected soot reduction with Euro 4 or 5 fuels on Euro 2 vehicles.

Euro 4 burns cleaner due to the decreased sulphur. It will be better for egra (same with euro 5) but I always use it with a lubricant additive just to be sure.

Yup the ranger is only euro 2. Lucky for me, bad for the environment. Lol.

It should be noted that the euro compliance (also with oil) is more for the environment. Not necessarily for engine health.

Hi mga sirs, I have just recently acquired my ranger. It came with an owners manual and warranty booklet pero I cant seem to find anything about what specifically needs to be done or replaced every xx kilometers or years.

Meron pa po ba kayo nakuha na other documents aside from those that I have mentioned? Alam nyo po ba kung saan malalaman what needs to be done or replaced every pms?

    Thanks in advance.

Mukhang no need na mag car cover sa garage mo,within your property naman at di naman nadadaanan ng tao. magagasgasan lang pag nag car cover ka.

Have the same problem kase parang tatama sa garahe. What i did is bumili ako ng mas maikli sa concorde. The concern is the screw size dun sa butas kaya better if dala mo yung orig antennae para ma compare.

Change mine to a shorter one. Takaw sabit yung antenna ng ranger eh especially on mall car parks. Looks better as well imo.

I just took out my radio antenna the moment I got the car. Even without it, I still have fairly reasonable reception.

The 2.2 is adequate and is rated for heavy loads too except that engine is more atressed due to reliance on turbo

Just to share, changing the way you drive really improves your mileage, all things kept equal.

On my trip from Manila to Bicol the other week, I achieved 11.2 km/L with an average speed of 57 kph.

On my trip back from Bicol to Manila last week, I achieved 12.95 km/L with an average speed of 54 kph.

    What changed?
    1. I planned my overtakes better - forcing an overtake despite having limited distance from the approaching car requires you to floor it, but letting the approaching vehicle pass first then overtaking afterwards when the opposite lane is more open requires less effort and only gives up a few seconds which you can recover later on.

    2. I kept a cooler head - when getting stuck in traffic, I usually develop pent up irritation that I release once the road opens.

    3. I drove like I had a slower car - accelerated slower, focused on preserving momentum; this lets you minimize your pedal inputs without sacrificing speed.

Bottom-line: a change in mentality and technique helps you save money. In my example, I saved over 200 pesos for my trip without taking a longer time (still 6.5 hrs from Naga-Manila). It's as if my toll paid for itself.
