2012 Ford Ranger

So I tried putting 2T along with my full tank last night. 200mL 2T from Shell mixed with Unioil diesel.

No night-and-day difference for me. At first it felt quieter and smoother, but when I drove it again this morning, parang wala naman. Must be a placebo effect.

Will continue to monitor for any improvements over the course of a week or two. Then in my next fill up try ko uli na wala, in accordance with typical A-B-A methodology.

So here's my version using 2T. Nawala yung nginig ng makina pag switch off mo. Dati nangingisay lagi. Ito yung pinaka una kung napansin. Pati Mrs ko na hindi alam na hinaluan ko ng 2T yung diesel napansin nya. And then, fuel economy nag improve din. 12.6km/L na. Usually lagi akong 10.6km/L.

does your unit exhibit this? habang naka apak sa accelarator then honk the horn, may vibration sa accelarator pedal na parang doon naka kabit yung busina...

Just got my unit from the service regarding the tranny problem. Hope its permanently fixed.

Kmo go for it... IMO isolated case naman yan... So far sa dami dami ng naka ranger dito isa palang ang nag pa service sa casa...

Mga sir. Newbie here. Just got my ranger wildtrak a couple of days ago. I'm planning to upgrade my tire to a bigger/fatter one without changing the stock rims. Any advice on what maximum tire size na hindi mgkaroon ng rubbing issues without having to lift the suspension? Thanks in advance!

Badnews .... After around 65km plus around 40km from roadtest of service, the problem came back ... Drivetrain light appeared and it jerks, and it wont go up mr driveway .... Damn ....

Just pull up the cover one side at a time. Tapos remove screws holding the insulation.

Let us know kung may kalawang na.

I talked to my friend who works at ford wala pa naman major recall ang ranger unless meron silent recall. ( isasabay nila papalitan ung recall parts without informing the customer )

If your unit is fiesta (powershift) maintindihan ko pa ( recall transmission) but the transmission of ranger is different from fiesta. Baka kailangan lang reflash at calibrate ung pcm ( power control module ) and tcm ( transmission control module ) otherwise lemon or meron factory defect.

Actually dun rin ako naiinis. I have friends who also has the ranger and no problem at all and theirs are older than mine. One has around 40k plus km on the odo na and one of the first units when it was launched. No problem at all.

Well thats what they said that they would reset / reprogram. The tcm daw and pcm.

It has been another 2 days na no feedback yet. Hehe yun lang nakakainis walang naguupdate....

Yours sir is the 2.2 also right? Although yung naka 3.2 wildtrak na friend namin had a tranny trouble and he sold it na hehe

with all the reliability talk, any one read the thaivisa forums?
one contributor drove thru 12" of water puddle (which is within the 800mm wading capacity) and his engine died. of course their dealership quick to point driver's fault for driving too deep water but upon inspection there is dust inside and around the air filter box. still water entered the engine somewhere else.
there might be some information not shared like car speed when driving thru the puddle etc. and this could be an isolated case but still worthy of notice for future and current owners

i am researching the ranger because candidate sya for our new pickup.

12" tumirik ranger nya? kwentong lokoloko yan... ano yun nasa gulong ang computer box at air intake ng ranger nya....

he ran over a puddle of water that deep pero didnt elaborate how big/wide that stretch of water, i guess at a certain speed kaya nag spray. I know at even half that height pag travelling at speeds of around 60kph malakas mag scatter ang tubig at ma apektohan steering control.

sa mga similar experience ko driving over a puddle of water, mas takot ako malagyan ng malamig na tubig ang mainit na engine block ko. baka mag start ng crack. pati mga brake rotors at ibapa mainit ang operating temp sa sasakayan.
