boss luigi, matanong lang, kasi i tried my friends 2.2 xlt and medyo mabagal cya sa starting compared sa dmax ko pero pag maka takbo na siya, mabilis na.. hows the starting run of the 3.2? malakas ba siya sir luigi?

Could it be due to high gearing ratio of Ranger? Compared the gearing ratios. Ranger has higher 1st gear ratio. Probably for hauling at steep incline. I dont stay too long in 1st gear.

Wow the gearing of Dmax was really for high speed compared to the ranger..much lower even* the 5th vs 6th, it just shows that notwithstanding how many gearshift therein but it's the gearing ratio within.

correct me of am wrong, but you need to take into account the final drive ratio, shift gear multiply by final drive... tama ba?
if im correct, ranger not only has higher ratio at 1st gear but also a lower ratio at 6th than the 5th of dmax.

More likely because of the turbo lag of the Ranger since it's a lower displacement engine that relies more on forced induction to create power than form outright displacement as with the Dmax.

Tama, I think they did this for the turbo lag. Mga 1 sec lang talaga pwede na from 1st gear. On a slightly downward slope, kaya na sa 2nd gear.

Just sharing if you thought you need this feature really badly.

Safety Belt Minder Deactivating/Activating

Preparation

1. Apply the parking brake.

2. Place the transmission selector level in P (Park)
-vehicles with automatic transmission or the neutral position-vehicles with manual transmission.

3. Close all the vehicle doors from inside of the vehicle.

Deactivating/Activating

Note: The belt minder can be turned off independently for the driver and the front passenger by performing the following procedure.

1. Unbuckle the driver’s safety belt.

2. Unbuckle the passenger’s safety belt.

3. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position. (Do not start the engine).

4. Wait until the safety belt warning indicator turns off.

5. Note: This step must be completed within 30 seconds or the procedure must be repeated.
Buckle then unbuckle the safety belt four times, ending with the safety belt unbuckled.
Release the red unbuckle switch completely every cycle.

6. The safety belt warning indicator flashes momentarily to confirm the belt minder status change.

7. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position. The deactivation/activation procedure is now complete.

Kasi sabi sa akin ng SA ko normal lang daw yun na ganun, hindi rin nila kasi maicompare sa ibang 3.2 kasi yung daw akin yung first unit nila ng 3.2L. Okay yan if it works. But if it only works when you're in reverse, imo it's totally weird. Imagine backing up with redlight, then dark tints ka pa as far as i remember.

Sorry pero hindi talaga yan normal. Tanga naman ng mga tao sa casa niyo. Simple ng check online lang yan. Dapat hindi red yung kabila.
