Heto sa tingin nyo gano kalalim, kabilis at kahaba ang tinakbo nya sa baha? at the end of the flood parang wala lang sa ranger eh

one contributor drove thru 12" of water puddle (which is within the 800mm wading capacity) and his engine died. of course their dealership quick to point driver's fault for driving too deep water but upon inspection there is dust inside and around the air filter box. still water entered the engine somewhere else.
there might be some information not shared like car speed when driving thru the puddle etc. and this could be an isolated case but still worthy of notice for future and current owners

i am researching the ranger because candidate sya for our new pickup.
Baka na tiyempuhan rin? Pero masyadong mababaw pa nga yan para tumrik hehe regular sedan ata kaya daanan yun hindi ba?

Maybe we have the same trouble. Mine is 2.2 A/T XLT and encountered powertrain alarm at around 1,700km. Feeling ko parang naka-engaged sya sa 3rd gear at hirap mag-move. Tried to turn off the engine and started tapos nawala ang powertrain alarm at umandar normally. Dinala ko sa casa and they found CKP sensor loose connection. They also reprogrammed from AB39-12A650-CBE to AB39-12A650-CBF level. Kaso bumalik ulit ang alarm at around 19K km. Just turned off and on the engine at nawala naman.

    Di kaya SW bug ito?

    Thanks.

looks like switching off the engine is the solution (temporary or permanent) when powertrain light comes up. hindi lang clear kung immediately/as soon as possible ba i-switch off or baka puwede pa itakbo ng a few kms like 5-10kms.

sir fordanger, nung nag-powertrain alarm, ilang minutes before niyo tinurn off yung engine and ilang kms tinakbo? gaano katagal din before na-start ulit yung engine? parang same kayo nung kay sir yebo, pero mazda yung kanya. same din ng ginawa sa inyo, kaya ko nasabi na solution yung procedure to fix the issue.

interesado rin ako sa magiging sagot dito. pero mukhang wala pang gumagawa ng ganyan poolfreak. looks like you'll be the first one. puwede mo naman ipa-check sa tire shop na bibilhan mo. trial and error siguro gagawin nilang method. let us know what you'll find sir.

Not even a single drop of water entered the engine bay... everything is all dry....

i can say baka yung nabasa nyo?... mga naninira lang yan sa ford ranger.... at naapecktuhan na kasi sales nila...

Yup thats the exact problem that i encounter. Nakakainis lang is that it takes them forever to find or fix the problem. Before the off and restart engine works pero nung dulo hindi na. Mine came put just after 65km from servicing that same problem. Now its still there as we speak.

Sabi ko nga why not just replace the ecu and tcm which is causing the problem para alam na if yun talaga or not. Hassle e ... Sabi rin wiring daw etc its warranty just replace it with a new one para faster ang pinpointing of the problem... Haaay

Ang dami na palang parehas ang problema sa auto transmission. Hassle talaga yan. Swerte lang na sa manual walang problema.
