The 2 hinges are located inside the bed at the front most. The hydraulics are mounted somewhere in the middle of the bed. One good thing I have to point out with the texture compared to Carryboy Sport Lid is that, it is less prone to scratches therefore less worries and less maintenance needed. I even tried to stand on top of it and it didn't bend, you have to consider your weight of course, since I weigh only 60kg

The only thing that worries me are the locks, it looks very easy to break. My suggestion is not to leave valuable things at the back when parked for long hours, well that's pretty much basic regardless of what type of ride you have :bwahaha: One more thing to add, is that it also has a battery operated led light, which is very useful. I hope this helps, I was actually at the same kind of dilemma of whether to get a roller lid, canopy or the hard tonneau. It really depends on how you will use it, mine is that I just needed to use the bed just like a trunk of a sedan. The bonus is that as mentioned by fellow T6 owner who had the same installed is that it is very easy to remove.
