Bro, the oil that you are seeing on the turbocharger outlet side is normal... that is if the PCV recirculation system is till present...

the PCV system vents the blowby gas towards the intake side of the turbo compressor, the vapors will condense and form a liquid oil on the discharge side of the turbo.. thats normal....

if you want that oil to lessen, you have to put catch can.. or if you want it to completely disappear you have to disconnect the PCV hose and let it vent the vapors into the atmosphere...

miko, i thought that there will be a thin coat of oil. i didnt expect it to leak. although not that much naman. probably 2 spoonful worth lang. i have an oil catch can, but havent installed it yet. looking for a machine shop that can do an 18mm nipple lang.

Just wondering what is the logic (aside from money) behind casa dealers service center in advising (or requiring) to replace the OEM filter every 5K (even those on fully synthetic oil)?

IMHO, it's only for the money...talaga bang pinapalitan yung oil or filter during the PMS? pwedeng both, either or none. unless kung nasa tabi ka ng mga mechanics nila.

They go by the factory recommendation for oil changes but almost no manufacture recommends 3000kl most also go by miles for the recommendation.

3000klm is only 1850 miles, That's crazy to change your oil that often. 5000klm is closer to the old standard of 3000 miles.

Most newer cars have a oil life monitor so they have done away with the recommended oil change intervals.

Here's some examples of older manufacture oil change intervals, most of these now are at 7500 miles to 10000 miles or just recommend the you go by the oil life monitor.

casa recommends( actually blackmails you) into adhering to 5k OCI... even with fully synthetics being used on your engine, kasi nga its business... the more they service the vehicle the better it is for their income statements...

fleetguards, baldwin, wix,purolator... champion labs who make crazy good filters, how come car manufacturers don't use those products? how come manufacturers wont ask champion labs to make good filters for them?

kasi nga pag maganda nilagay nila at tatagal ang interval, liliit kita nila....
the casa are selling their service parts for a price that's not even close to being realistic....

imagine this, 4 years ago the price of brake pads (front only) for the everest at ford Q.AVe is around 2000 pesos, last week i inquired it was now priced at 9000 pesos!!!! ( mas mahal pa sa EBC at tanabe racing pads ampucha!!!)

Quick question here: Is the Fleetguard FF5160 (cross for MB 220900) inside-out flow or standard flow? Thanks

Yes the FF5160 is inside outflow, The Baldwin is a much better filter, that Fleetguard is only 40 microns * 98.7% and 20 microns at 50%. The Baldwin is 15 microns at 98.7% and 5 microns * 5%. OEM is 10 microns * 50%.

I would go with the BF7534.

Just want to ask tsikoteers what you will choose between a WIX and a Fleetguard replacement for a BD28. Volmax said that they will have the BD28 by the end of April and now they are telling me they will have it by June, don't like to buy from them anymore. My concern for the FG is that the ones they are selling here seems to be inferior to the ones being sold in the US as seen in the previous posts. Wix on the other hand I think does not filter as well as FG and Baldwin. Just want to know your opinions.
