*pupuek: Meron bang country of origin sa filter body? Kung wala, alam na...
Purolator, always merong country of origin ang orig...

Hehe!

Just a tip for Innova, Fortuner, Hilux with non-VGT 2KD-FTV (no hoodscoop on bonnet) only. 1KD-FTV, i have not seen nor tried yet.

Its possible to fit a bigger oil filter (ie. B2, LF3487, etc..). I asked the mechanic to try this. It fits or shoots right in. But you might have a hard time removing the filter later on your next oil change bec. there is little, to no wiggle room to maneuver. Of course take note he uses a chain to remove filter so that requires wiggle room. But if you have other method of removing the filter then using a bigger filter is possible.

    Share lang po...

Oil filter for 2.5 years (7000+kms lang natakbo at that period). Two filters on remote filter relocation bracket. About the same lang ang loob ng filter nung binuksan ko using an oil filter cutter (isa lang ang na-picturan ko).

Since the oil filters are mounted upside down in the relocator bracket, there is noticeable gunk that settled on the rear/bottom of the oil filter. Filter element condition is very good (no noticeable buildup of trapped dirt). The engine was essentially clean (4A-GE 16V 'red top').

The Baldwin filters are well worth it.

The "no noticeable buildup of trapped dirt" kinda worries me.

If its is a good filter, you should see some dirt because it should be filtering. If none, then maybe it has gone bypass already.

Or your engine is really clean.

Small gasoline engine (1.6L) with two big filters (Baldwin B2). Dirt could have been too much dispersed in the filter elements for me to notice anything. Besides, 7000kms+ pa lang.

I've also just opened the valve cover to check the valve clearances (although I cannot do adjustments, I'm monitoring the wear on the cam lobes because of stiffer valve springs). Valve train is clean --- like the way it was when it was after chemical bath last general overhaul in 2011.

    Engine is really clean.

Just curious, have you tried using then opening a cheap oil filter? Will we see the same physical attributes?

When I opened the last Vic filter I had, the filter element pleats were not so good. Plus when I tear the Vic element, it was too thin compared to the Baldwin element.

It is not a bypass filtration system... Tamang dual oil filter relocation kit lang.

    https://www.summitracing.com/int/parts/sum-g4986-1
...I'm using that relocation kit, though I changed the NPT to barb fittings and hose (leak kasi nang leak) to NPT to AN push lock fittings and hose.

    Price update sa Volmax...

Baldwin B2 - P225 (was P200 nung July 2013, last na bili ko).
Baldwin BT223 - P290 (was P275 nung July 2013, last na bili ko).

anyone tried buying from this guy?
    FILTER CO.

nung nakuha ko yung box, mabigat naman siya so I went with my gut na genuine naman

naikabit ko na nga lang agad
so di ko na napicture-an yung filter mismo
    but here's the box :D

Ung isang filter (Made in Turkey), no matching document ang lumabas. In comparison sa Baldwin BT223, may box bawat filter.
