My concern for the FG is that the ones they are selling here seems to be inferior to the ones being sold in the US as seen in the previous posts. Wix on the other hand I think does not filter as well as FG and Baldwin. Just want to know your opinions.
Well when shipping from overseas there can always be delays.

But as far as the WIX goes, on this particular filter, yes they have a cross match that would work but the nominal rating is 30 microns which is not very good. The Baldwin is 12 microns. Normally WIX filters are very good but not for this particular application because.

But this does not put them out of the picture, If you can find the 51675 it's 19 microns nominal, It is slightly larger than the BD28 equivilant. I know some 4M40's and 4D56's have that Aircon hose that can block a larger filter so you will have to check if you have clearance.

    51675
    Height: 5.981
    Outer Diameter Top: 4.282

    BD28
    O.D.: 3 11/16 (93.7)
    Length: 5 3/8 (136.5)

If you do have the extra space you can also go with the BD7028.

I would go with the BF7534.
Hmm.. So the OEM fuel fiter is better than the Fleetguard FF5160 I'm using right now?

Goodluck on wix, went to superior motors last january and ordered filters for 4d56, they said they are going to call me when my order arrives, well, upto now, nothing. Forced me to get a case of bd28 from u.s, price is higher than that of volmax, but i know i am going to have them, rather than just wait for volmax stocks

Yes the OEM has a better efficiency rating, Might check for Donaldson versions of that filter.

It seems like it is a case to case basis. Some OEM filters have good fuel filters but bad oil filters and vice versa.

Looks like I'll have to search for a Baldwin dealer here or in Davao. Fleetguard for oil and Baldwin for fuel. OEM fuel filter here cost Php 2,500+ which almost 3 times the price of Fleetguard FF5160.

You can thank the disaster in Japan for many of the high cost of the OEM items. Lots of those factories were damaged.

If you know anyone in the state you can get Donaldsons for that filter for pretty cheap.

and the OEM fuel filter is standard flow, right?? if it is, maybe i'll go OEM so as not to change also the priming pump.
