Remote bypass oil filtration

Vic C-110 had its gasket leaking, so I decided to change oil & filter (car acquired last mid-May, at sabi ng previous owner last oil change was just March). I only have Baldwin B2 in my stash (kasi yun ang gamit ko sa isang sasakyan with dual filter relocator).

Lapit nga lang talaga sa exhaust manifold pipes (about 8mm clearance to closest pipe). Kapag nag-discolorate yung paint ng Baldwin B2 sa tapat nung pipes, alam na. :D but so far after 2 weeks ayos pa rin sya.

Wow! Big difference talaga. Anong engine to sir? Laki ng filter location clearance.

ang laki nga nung b2 compared sa dating filter. bigger filtering medium, better filtration. malapit nga lang sa exhaust pipe, dapat may heat shield

Just an observation. I started using the Baldwin BT223 on our 22-year old Sentra with 130,000kms on the odo. It's still using the original timing chain amd tensioners and I noticed that the slight cold start-up chain clatter went away after a couple of thousand kms with the BT223 and Delo.

nawala naman yung sinok (parang nalalagutan ba ng hininga) around 2.5 to 2.7k rpm nung makina nung gumamit ako ng baldwin oil and fuel filter atsaka mobil mx engine oil....ngayon, kaya na umabot ng 3k rpm ng walang drama.

hindi naman..mas maganda pa nga iyon dahil mas marami ang magsasala nung dumi sa langis. atsaka walang babanggain na ibang pyesa yung mas malaking filter lalu na kung umandar.

Both on two cars with stock oil filter size B37 or BT223, I used a B2 sa isa, then sa isa naman ay dalawang B2 (with remote dual oil filter re-locator kit) --- na-notice ko sa cars ko mas matagal mawala ang low oil pressure warning lamp mula nung nag-upsize ako especially at cold start (difference of around 2-3 seconds, at kita rin talaga sa oil pressure guage na medyo matagal sya tumaas especially when cold)...

...but I don't think it will do significant wear kasi di ko naman patatakbuhin agad while low oil pressure warning lamp is still on.

The bigger filtration area (so less restriction) and more contaminant holding capacity ang advantage.

Hi Tsikoters, I'm planning to have my change oil outside casa. nakabili na ako ng oil, mitasu 5w30. Hindi ko lang alam kung anong klaseng oil filter ung bibilhin ko. by the way altis 2010 ung tsikot ko. reading from this thread maganda ung Baldwin. san ba ako makakabili nun near marikina area. thanks.

Gen 10 Altis uses a Baldwin BT223. Try checking online (olx) as there's a seller who can do deliveries to that area if i recall correctly.

As for me, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the new Hilux 2.4 also uses a BT223. :D
