Browsing the Baldwin eCatalog looking for the biggest oil filter that can fit the space in my 2nd gen 4AFE , come across this B1416 oil filter, 3/4 - 16 thread, OD = 73.8mm, L = 123 mm with ADV, BPV pressure of 14 PSID and "Front End Check Valve" . My query is the FECV, what is it for? I'm using the principle "the biggest available filter that will fit at the right price". Using B131 for two weeks now.

If its for a Honda, then its B1402, which is the exact dimension as the Honda filter. More importantly the rubber gasket are an exact match as well.

You can go for longer and wider filter as long as the rubber gasket matches the one installed in your ride. Also consider if the added dimension of the filter will still allow for easy access and installation in the engine bay.

for Toyota 4cylinder sir usually BT223 ginagamit namin dito sa tsikot.

Yung b-179 mas wider at mas cheaper sa b1402.

B131 is wider than BT223 pala pero almost same height, mas mura din pala BT223. Hindi ata puwede sa toyota 4cycle engine ang B131.

I measured the filter space of my 4AFE, found out I can fit a 77mm diameter x 130mm long oil filter in it, no problem with the heat shield sa ilalim ng manifold. As per Baldwin catalog, pwede na ang B143 full flow spin on lube filter, diameter = 76.2mm, length = 129.4mm with exact match ng gasket, diameter = 65mm. Sa OEM filter, 3.3lts ang oil capacity, siguro, dito sa B143, konti na lang matira sa isang gallon. Sure win sa 10k kms + OCI ito. Regarding the price, a little pricier than BT223 but look at the size naman.

BTW, Ry, B131 ang nakakabit sa 4AFE ko ngayon . . . satisfied na ako but I want the biggest I can fit in it.

For me, I like the biggest in diameter and longest that can fit sa space with consideration sa diameter ng gasket, not much bigger sa OEM. Napansin ko sa pricing, mahal ang intended for fuel (BF) at dual flow (BD), ang mura yun sa hydraulic/transmission (BT) kung compare mo sizes (length at OD) with each other, hindi ko napansin kung wider ay lower priced sa longer ones. Minsan, supply and demand din affect the pricing.

are you a reseller sir? SRP is more or less 765 pesos each. resellers sell it at a higher price. but supply is scarse

sa mga Bosch centers sir. sa Banawe meron, sa Binondo meron din. but for honda, ok naman supply ng Baldwin. get Baldwin nalang.

I am planning to sell BD28 kaya lang hesitant ako i discuss here sa thread baka may maviolate ako na rules. I will try to beat yung price ng reseller. Naka tsamba ako before sa Volmax ng BD28 and i am using it now, after 1000 km still hindi pa umitim yung oil ko (Delo 400). So now naghahanap ako naman ng Baldwin Fuel filter kumbaga combo finish na pure baldwin ang gamit ko even air filter kung may available why not.
