Remote bypass oil filtration

ill be running my current fill of Delvax MX + Baldwin for 6,500kms before switching to any of those 3 mentioned above and run it for 10k.

Sir dvldoc, which one would be the better choice for 1 year OCI
1. Mobil 1 Extended Performance oil filter
2. Fleetguard LF3462 oil filter
I will be using Mobil 1 0w40 fully synthetic.

Both will get the job done as far as filters go, the Mobil 1 filter is a mixed media filter like the Baldwin, The fleetguard will have more pleats and hold more dirt as they are designed for fleet service.

Basically they just copied what Fleetguard and Baldwin have been doing for years.

The Mobil one has a better higher efficiency rating than the fleetguard being absolute at 20 microns the fleetguard is absolute (98.7%) at 25 microns.

The mobil 1 fitler is also physically smaller than the Fleetguard giving it less pleats and less overall filter surface.

Overall Height: 81.79 mm (3.22 in)
Largest OD: 84.07 mm (3.31 in)

Mobil1 main issues they tend to make their filter element smaller than most others. Here's your filter in Mobil1

So I guess it would come down to price and availability. You would be better served with a better oil than their 0w-40 oil, it's pretty light in the additives. This oil does not have a high TBN and pretty weak zinc and phosphorus. I would use their TDT diesel oil. It's perfect for all cars because the ZDDP level is right at 1200ppm.

BTW, dvldoc, does this Blue STP increase a w40 viscocity to like a w45/50 and the viscocity index or just improve the zinc/moly in the conventional engine oil?

Thanks Dvldoc. The Mobil filter is the M1-108. Been using the Mobil 1 0w40 grade since 2004 the Mobil TDT will try next OCI. What about the shell rotella T6 5w40 would you consider it at par with Mobil1 TDT?

Also inquired with said seller...when i said that ill be buying 4 pcs only, i felt the "smile" in his face!...Kung hindi ako nagkakamali, yung bulk order nya is around 50 minimum hangang hundreds na!

dapat group buy to hit the minimum order. baka pwede na 20 or 30 pcs

called up volmax and they told me end of may or june na daw dating nung stocks nila
