haha my mistake, thanks for the correction sir
Doc,
Since the Ford Ranger 2009 use the Baldwin BT223 & the Baldwin B2 have the same thread.
Can I use the B2 in the Ford (it does have room to fit the bigger and longer filter).
Now that B2 can hold more dirt...sure it can last 20,000km with DELO 400 or Delvax MX, right?
You should be to put a B2 on it. It fits the Everest. I would not go past 12000 unless you get a Lf3487 which is a microglass media.
Doc I got several oil filters from you for my toyota corolla, I know from info I got here that the Baldwins and Fleetguards are good for at least 10000 OCI, how about the part master oil filters? I think I got 2 pcs included in the bag that I got from you. Are they also good for at least 10,000 OCi? Also I use Repsol 10w-40 mix fleet oil for my corolla 4AFE is this good for 10,000 OCi,

Doc on another topic, would you know what filter (Baldwin or Fleetguard) would fit a Nissan Frontier with a TD27 engine? This is what I got from googling
Spin On Oil Filter - Dimensions 129mm Height x ID 93mm - Thead size 3/4" x 16
Nissan - 15208-43G00 / Ryco - Z503 / Sakura - C1819 / Wesfil - WZ503NM / Baldwin - B7022 / Fleetguard - LF3638 / WIX - 51647
but I just want to run it by you first.
Parts masters are about as good as wix so 10000klm is no problem. for the td27 I would use the B7022 you can find it. its also the same filter for the Td42 engine. These engines to include the QD series have internal bypass valves so u can't us a B2.
I would also find a better oil that oils tbn is crap. You want at least a 10 for the tbn. I would for a good diesel oil that has under 1200ppm phosphorus so u can use it in gas engine. you will get way more engine protection.

Doc, So Caltex delo gold ultra would be the better choice with 10.2 tbn (just correct me if im wrong with this tbn)
thanks a lot and happy new year.

It's 10.2 and the ZDDP is 1000ppm per the MSDS so safe for a gas engine Catalytic converter.
zddp is not important since my car does not have cat conv anyways but its good to know that info for those who do.
Then get Delo 400 it's TBN is 16 and with a gas engine you can easily take that to 15000klm with a Baldwin filter.
Doc I'm not sure that Delo 400 TBN is 16. I looked it up on the website you gave me for the caltex website and the TBN there is just 12.2

The price of Delo Gold Ultra is less than 200 pesos while Delo 400 is around 400 pesos (and really hard to find an auto supply or caltex station that sells it). Is it more economical to go with Delo gold than Delo 400 if the TBN difference is just 2 points?
You are correct. was thinking of a different one. Very high ZDDP content in Delo 400, You can look for Top 1 as well http://www.top1oil.com/products/diesel
doc after some more research i found out that the delo ultra gold they sell here in the philippines is different from the the delo gold ultra in the australian website. delo gold ultra 15w40 here in phils. is CH rated with 9.5 TBN based on the data sheet i downloaded while Delo gold ultra 15w40 from caltex australia website is CI rated with 10.2 TBN.
ok, i'll check for new stocks. what i got from my auto supply earlier this afternoon was just CH-4. I will have to find CI-4 Delo gold ultra from somewhere else. Thanks again
After checking the container it was indeed delo gold and not delo gold ultra. I asked for delo gold ultra specifically but failed to notice it was just delo gold that the sales lady gave me since i was on my way to work and a little bit in a hurry. My bad... To Doc, what is the best bang for the buck oil that I can get besides Delo Gold Ultra and Top1 SDO?
Doc Mobil Delvac MX has a high TBN of 12 and only around 210 pesos per liter in one of the distributors here in Pampanga. According to its MSDS it has 2500 ppm ZInc

Since my gas engine car does not have a cat con its not going to be a problem if i use it, but is this oil good fo 10,000 OCI on a 2012 montero sport of course with a bd28 filter partnered with it (my fathers car).
Also why is the more expensive (by 2-3x) Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel Truck 5W-40 fully synthetic oil have a lower TBN of 10.7?
Here is the pds of the Mobil delvac MX being sold in the philippines. Mobil Delvac MX 15W-40
For its zinc level, the pne you posted shows less than 2.5% but in some used oil analysis (UOA) i got from the net, zinc level is around 1,700ppm so hindi puwede sa gas engines with catcon. On the other hnd, Delo Gold Ultra, Top 1 SDoand Mobil 1 TDT 5w40 is about 1200ppm ang zinc.
