For example, for a Komatsu HD325-6 mining dump truck, the recommended replacement interval of the oil filter is 250 hours. If the truck runs 20 hours a day, the filter has to be changed every 13 days.
Probably cause those engines are heavy duty engines?

Talagang continuous usage lang talaga yan. Mining equipments eh 24 hours halos, breakdwon lang pahinga. Genset ganun din, tuloy-tuloy kasi.

Can any of the following fit?

    Fleetguard LF689, Baldwin B233 equivalent
    Fleetguard LF551A, Baldwin's B2 equivalent
    Fleetguard LF3314, Baldwin B118

    I have both 2KD-FTV (D-4D)in the Innova and a 2TR-FE (VVT-i) in the Fort.

The Innova is only a year old so its still strictly Toyota Casa serviced for warranty purposes. I have checked under the hood again just now. You can fit any long filter. Its the width that you might have problems with. Will it fit ? Check the provided photo I took above. The LF3487 is ideal bec. of its filter area size and its use of synthetic filtration material (microglass).

Heavy equipment move at low engine speeds, carrying loads, for long hours under dusty conditions most of the time.

Yeah, recipe for early COI talaga and kaya may need for a heavy duty filter.

Try ko sa Handyman dito sa amin if ma-haggle ko. I'll ask for Baldwin na lang kasi mukhang mas malapit source natin, Singapore.

Cool! thanks for providing the photo above. gives us very good idea how puny the OEM Oil filter

The diameter of the gasket am sure are the same for the Toyota OEM, BT223, LF3487
What am not sure about here is the circumference of the oil filter mounting area on the 2KD-FTV (D-4D) & 2TR-FE (VVT-i) engines ... Will it fit a 3.7 incher OD filter?

    The filters i have below:
    Fleetguard LF689, Baldwin B233 equivalent
    Fleetguard LF551A, Baldwin's B2 equivalent
    Fleetguard LF3314, Baldwin B118

Outer Diameter (OD) - are from 3.6in - 3.7 inches. Will it fit or not?

    Thanks

From what I remember from before, only BT223 will fit the d4d engine cause of the tight space. On the other hand, a bigger B233 will fit innova gas. I tried it on our innova almost 10months ago.

Yes all have same gasket diameter and there was lots of space in terms of width and length in the 2TR-FE VVT-i engine so it worked well.

Lots of space in terms of width and length in the 2TR-FE VVT-i engine so it worked well. 2KD-FTV might have problems in terms of width since there is not so much horizontal space down there. Not sure though since I never tried the LF3487 with the D-4D.

The following filter when compared to LF3487:

LF551A - almost the same dimensions. Superceded by LF3487. So still better to get LF3487.

LF689 is shorter in height or length. and uses slightly inferior filter material (paper) than LF3487. So still better to get LF3487.

LF3314 - slightly taller and narrower than LF3487. Try this one if there are fitting issues with the LF3487.

I was able to negotiate with our suking auto shop that they try to get bosch oil filters for our fleet instead of Vic. Hopefully the price will be close to Warren's para okay na okay. Pati yung sa fuel at oil filter ko damay na din. Hirap talaga sa baldwin at fleetguard eh. Sa Handyman i-try ko yung purolator or baldwin. :2thumbsup:

Has anybody tried the sellers from sulit, saw one who supposedly sells Fleetguard, Baldwins and WIX and Napa, etc.?

And what do you guys think of the magnets that you can cling to your oil filters? Supposedly these magnets keep the metal shavings (or whatever metal bits and pieces resulting from engine wear) from circulating... Any feedback on these?
