If you use a low detergent automotive oil then you can expect to have a sludgy engine. If you have a coolant system leak expect the same. That's why it's always best to know what's in your oil, It's good to pull your valve cover from time to time just to check if everthing's good to go.

Thank you sir cb and dvdldoc. Could you recommend a good mineral based oil brand? some of the brands I'm familiar with are Toyota OEM mineral oil, Castrol, Repsol. Good brands like Royal Purple, Mobil 1, Motul, Top 1 are mostly of synthetic type.

Ito ba yung dating Caterpillar? Before i went there to buy some parts for caterpillar genset. Mismo sa station sila naka pwesto. PACER na pala sila?

maybe i will buy the filter first then have it fit it with the base. Just like to know if i use the DB28 for the stocks oil filter then what filter should i use for the bypass filter? Tia

ZIC has semi, full and strait mineral oil. I think with it's price I would go with their full synthetic.

API CJ-4 diesel oil rating are used in diesel fuels ranging in sulphur content up to 500ppm. However, use of these oils with greater than 15ppm sulfur fuel may impact exhaust after treatment system durability and/or oil drain intervals.

What is the meaning of the bold sentence above? Low sulfur content are those under Euro V or IV standard fuels that are imported.

The Caterpillar dealer is Monark. Monark is the one below the LRT station. Pacer is
on the other side of Rizal Avenue, diagonally across Monark.

    IIRC:

    Euro 2 = 500ppm
    Euro 3 = 350?300? (SeaOil diesel)
    Euro 4 = 50ppm

Mobil 1 TDT lang yata ang Cj-4 rating oil na nakita ko at na mention sa thread na to.

Back read a lil bit, Dvldov has link re: Cj-4 vs Ci-4(+). Cj-4 isnt good for the Cat-Con afaik.
