The one at g. araneta is nearer to me.. its not cheaper from the distributor but i think i save a lot of gas going to the distributor.

The larger one (part no. 51515 for everest gen1) is a priced at 199 pesos
the smaller one (part no. 51365) for the pajero gdi which has also many vehicle applications is priced at around 150 plus..

the MOs2 is priced at 600 pesos, while the diesel purge is around 600 pesos also, they also have diesel fuel additive that cleans the injectors, valves, fuel line and injection pump internals..

Super Diesel Additiv (LIQUI MOLY - Motor Oils, Additives, Car Care - Products - Super Diesel Additiv)

Injection Reiniger (LIQUI MOLY - Motor Oils, Additives, Car Care - Products - Injection Reiniger)

Cera Tec( LIQUI MOLY - Motor Oils, Additives, Car Care - Products - Cera Tec)

Oil Additiv ( LIQUI MOLY - Motor Oils, Additives, Car Care - Products - Oil Additiv)

im going to add the CERA TEC on my next oil change, its a ceramic additive that bonds to your metals (good for 40,000kms before reapplication) "Cost 1500 pesos" <2 microns so its safe for all filters...

for diesel purge, i wanted to try this: Diesel Purge Mercedes diesel maintenance tips

600 is already cheaper than most stores.

    sorry for the OT,

BTT: the thing thats stopping me from using oil additives is the thought that it might ruin the chemical compounds/mixture of the oil im using. BTW, currently, im using bosch filters. im just not sure if its the same with the bosch premium filters shown above.

since TS allowed discussion also of engine oils products, since he always recommended CJ-4 API rating, i have a question i read some articles over net that it is best to use CI-4 plus or lower ratings than the CJ-4 rated oil for 2007 and lower car model, can you have some inputs on this? coz i'm confuse since zinc(Zn) and phosphorus (P) are important important anti-wear and tear protection balanced with detergent additives but they reduce it on CJ-4 because of environmental restrictions and some engine oils compensate of lower Zn & P with higher moly but some says it abrasive and deposit forming...

moly is not designed to become an abrasive product, actually it prevents abrasion... i assume you will be using your vehicle at least once a month(some particles of moly may settle if vehicle not used in long periods)... the moly is suspended on the oil, it not like water and oil... try to read the links i've given to be enlightened.. hehehe..

    Category SJ SL
Maximum cam plus lifter wear 30 20
    Sludge buildup 9 7.8
Varnish rating (higher is better) 5 8.9
    High temperature deposits 60 45
    High temperature volatility 70 10

As one can see just going from the previous SJ to the SL rating is a significant
(Motor Oil 107 - Bob is the Oil Guy)

Please note that it makes no difference what oil you are using. The 0W-20 Mobil 1 that is SL rated meets the same criteria as that SL rated 10W-30 synthetic or mineral based Pennzoil. That SJ or in particular that SH oil some people are looking for (from their older automotive owners manual) is no where near as good as any SL oil of today. Always use the most currently available, highest rated motor oil, even in the oldest, most worn engine. You may require a thicker grade but just make sure it is SL or SM rated.

Concern: People are worried about the SM oils not having as much ZDDP as the SL and older oils. The reason ZDDP has been used for years is not because of its superior performance but rather its low cost and dual function as an antioxidant. It also has anticorrosive properties.

For cars, it is usually better to use the oil with an AP approved rating that is latest.
