Remote bypass oil filtration

Just did my oil change this afternoon using the fleetguard filter and mobil 1 fully synthetic. I've been doing extended drains(10K or 1 year) but was using VIC filters. The car next to me on the lifter was also having an oil change, the owner was starting the car after the oil change when suddenly there was oil gushing out from underneath, the mechanics and the supervisor were all shouting to switch off the car. They unscrewed the filter and I saw it was a bosch filter, maybe he forgot to tighten it or the replacement bosch filter they chose was the same in size but different in thread size(the car was American, a Chevy Spark), the mechanic was dumbfounded that it happened, he was measuring the old filter's diameter with the new one, just goes to show that cross referencing is still the best way to find your filter not just by the diameter of the filter.

Dumfounded sound more like they were just dumb, I would find a different shop if they are not smart enough to know you can't screw a 3/4 16" thread oil filter to a GM's M18 x 1.5 thread and think it will still work even though the filter is the same physical size. Yeah it will screw on but heck no it will not seal.

That's why I always bring my own stuff when doing anything, don't relay that all mechanics or properly trained or even know what they are doing. Something like that should never happen with common sense. I mean come really

The Baldwin BT223 is the best option for filters for Toyotas, it's 98% efficient * 12 microns vs Toyota's OEM's 88% * 40 microns they are horrible filters. They are almost identical to VIC in filtering ability and their dirt holding capacity is also pretty weak.

Bro the Baldwin filter for your 1kzte should be BD7029

Vic has issue with the unsealed filter element(edge was taped-blue tape)
Fleetguard(counterfeit) on the right is a total trash.. its like a tissue paper in a can (again c/o our mabuting suking authorized dealer )

yikes, the more reason not to buy fakes! Look at the difference. I'll take the bosch over OEM anytime.

The ones you posted from Indonesia look like the real Bosch noticed the number of holes, thicker base, and if i were a betting man, I would say it did not have the China plastic at the bottom of the filter.

I will never trade OEM not untill i open those replacement filters and see if quality is at par.. I did compared the Mann(Lube filter made in Germany, Fuel Filter made in Argentina) and the quality is the best.. Somehow the Baldwin gives me confidence so its whats in my engine right now.[/SIZE]

did a cross reference for the 1kzte. This is the 3 li turbo diesel engine for the land cruiser prado. Hmmm... the bd7029 was the one that came out. I shall double check. You think a B2 would fit? If I recall correctly the B2 is also used for toyotays - I just can't remember which one.

Th3 baldwin b2 will not fit your vehicle it is a 3/4 16" thread pattern and it is not a bypass filter like what comes on the 1kzte and the 1KZTE uses a M24 x 1.5 thread pattern.

Fake ata yun bro CB.200+ ba naman. Nasa 800-900++ nga yung oil filter eh, so malapit din dpat dun fuel filter price if ever.

i got to pass by volmax this morning and got myself a baldwin bt223 for toyota. the casing is bigger than oem toyota and heavier too. hope it fits the vios engine. hehe it costs 215 pesos which is much cheaper than toyota oem. it has the country of origin, 6 large crimps and 7 holes.

i got the last available stock and next shipment will be on august. in case you want volmax's number its 2448275, 2457076, 2448031, 2448373

The BT223 is a mixed media filter filters (called microlite) 98% efficient at 12 microns which is 3 times better than OEM it will also hold 3grams more dirt particles and last long. Tough little filter great for Toyotas. I run a Baldwin B14012on my Nissan Altima, oil is considerably cleaner looking. This filter and synthetic oil will give you 12000klm easy I run them 15000klm (10000 miles) on my wife's car. Oil still looks new.

The BT223 fits all 4cly and 6cly gas toyota's and all D4D engines.
