1,000km service? Mineral oil muna then go for the branded/synth oils when you hit the 5,000 mark.

sabi kc nung casa 7,500kms daw or 4mos. Tama lang kaya yon parang ang tagal naman ata nun. Pde ba ipachange oil ko na tsaka tune up on or before 7500kms or 4mos?

legal yan sir ung ibang casa pwede naman magpa pms sa casa na convenient sayo. e.g. sa pasig mo binili tsikot mo (due to better deal) pero sa manila ka nakatira, edi sa manila casa ka magpa pms. ask your SA.

Sa Chevy din ata. Friend ko, pagka bili ng Spark, 1 year bago sha ata pinabalik para sa PMS.

Yup no problem. Especially if same brand lang like mobil FS to Mobil mineral, etc.

I am assuming na gasoline car yan pero choosing your oil really depends on a lot of criteria;

a. budget na happy ka
b. supply na abundant ang easy to get for you
c. do you intend to change oil every 5,000kms or 6 months whichever comes first or gusto mo extended drain interval
d. what oil filter you use
e. what kind of a driver are you? hataw ba or relaks driving lang?

Kung hindi ka particular sa ginagamit na oil sa car mo basta every 5,000kms change oil ka na, I suggest yung Shell Rimula R4X 15w40 na lang or Delo Gold Ultra 15w40. API SL rated yan, way better than your API SJ castrol.

c. since i'll be using mineral-based oil, i will change oil every 5K or 6 months whichever comes first.
d. oil filter, yung mga VIC brands cguro ok na ako. ganon gamit ko dati sa big body corolla ko
e. i use the car twice a week going to the office. then kung weekends 10km back and forth lang on saturdays. relax driving lang.

my car is Innova 2009 GAS.

I tried Delo Gold before on my corolla. try ko siguro yan Shell Rimula R4x.

hihina kaya hatak ng innova ko kung mag balik ako sa mineral-based oil?

btw, naka K&N drop-in air filter ako.

Ano ba rating nang oil mo before? Kung 10w40 din, hindi mo na mararamdaman difference sa hatak. Sa top end power puwede pa siguro. Pero very negligible yan

Thanks Ry. I don't know the rating of the FS oil. Might as well do the change oil sa Shell.

40K km na ako e. need na rin ba pa bleed brake fluid and transmission fluids?

There is a price increase in baldwin oil filter due to peso-dollar appreciation and high custom taxes. Baldwin oil filter BD28 has still stocks left. Volmax is now pushing for the brand "Union" as an alternative to VIC in their oil filter product line.

Magkano daw increase? Hindi totoo yung Forex rate. Nung sumikat Volmax dito sa tsikot mataas pa Forex noon. Taking advantage lang sila kasi marami ng bumibili.
