    guys guide para sa lahat
100% fully synthetic oils= group IV base oils or higher
synthetic oils/synthetic blend etc= group II and group III base with added processes and friction modifiers.

100% fully synthetic oils perform better at every aspect, except the cost which is mas mahal.

the first value in an oil grade 0w/5w/10w/15w represents cold flow.
the lower the better. better flow. less wear. improved fuel consumption.
but lower values are only present in high performance oils, which is mas mahal again.

the second value 20w/30w/40w/50w represents hot flow.
differences in this second value is negligible once engine is hot (operating temp) because engine oil tends to have the same viscosity at operating temp.
not like starting temp where in you want the lowest value so it flows easily and immediately once you start the engine so wear is minimized.

API rating is a general guide to consumers as to what oil is suited to a vehicle as stipulated in their manual.
    it is not absolute.
the higher the rating the better.
again oils with higher ratings are more costly. mas mahal.

people should always strike balance, hindi mahal yet provides the best protection and performance for a given price point.

the price of the oil should be commensurate with its performance,
one example are oils used by fleet types of owners and industries,
average price but competitive in performance.
    delo/rimula line up etc...

what type of oil ang mas ideal pang flushing? as in pag change oil ko ito cheapest oil yung gagamitin for 15 mins lang pang banlaw. api old school CD or modern CI+? both almost same price.

engine flush kailangan if you want results in 15mins,
liquimoly has this, engine flush plus...
mag 1 i think also has a flushing oil,

pag specific engine flushing liquid kasi meh kersone na content sila at matapang yung detergents, kaya in 15 mins eh nakakatangal na sila,

I would do Delo400 every 3000km or every 4mo for stop and go traffic and dirty fuel.

    ^if u use delo 400 oil> your OCI is every 5K kms.(can extend to10K)
or 6 months which ever comes first,

Pag fully synthetic oil> OCI is every 10K kms
or 1 YEAR w/c ever comes first.

Salamat mga bro sa replies. Hindi naman stop and go yung route namin. Ang problem lang kasi eh bihira lang talaga magamit. Pwede ba kahit per year na lang ang oil change kung Delo 400 kung hindi man maka-5,000 kms? Hindi ba sya agad madedegrade? TIA

Hindi kasi ideal sa dino oil na more than 6 months gamitin. Semi-synthetic ka na lag kung plan mo is 1yr or 5,000kms whichever comes first. Mas matagal ma-degrade semi-synthetic.

I'll recommend Top1 SDO, Zic or other sei-synthetics oils na available.

If you have the vehicle owner's manual, just follow the factory recommended oil change and filter change intervals. Be sure to use the correct oil grade for your engine.

If you don't have the vehicle owner's manual, here is a general recommendation:

Mineral , semi synthetic or fully synthetic?
