Sa advancement ng engine oil, ang super expensive engine oil vs low price engine oil eh same lang performance. Ang pinagkaiba lang eh marami lang nabola sa marketing yung super expensive engine oil. :hihihi:

Pero may times na with the "correct API, ACEA, ILSAC rating" eh mas lamang pa ang lower price engine oil vs super expensive engine oil

Ry_Tower- We had our oci, used Mobil Delvac MX 15w-40, coming from Top 1 hd+ 10w-30. My father noticed mas gumanda daw tunog makina (though imo that's what will happen talaga after an oil change regardless of oil). I'm still observing the run, one thing I noticed was lumakas ang fuel consumption ko. Before sa 10w-30 im peg at 10.9kms/l, pero since using the 15w-40, nasa 9.8kms/ltr. Driving habits was/is the same, do you think it has something to do with the oil? My understanding is pag mas malapot ang oil, mas "hirap" ang engine components to run, thus the higher fuel consumption.

Sa alam ko, pang cold climate ang 10w30. Stick with 15w40.

Safe ang 10w30.

Universal sa buong mundo ang 10w30. Even middle eastern countries. (Pag 0w20 lang hindi advisable. Example: car user manual ng hyundai naka asterisk pag middle eastern countries not to use 0w20)

15w40 is so 1990s. Karamihan ng kotse ngayon calls for a w30 oil.

Pag nagbasa kayo car user manual, mababasa nyo universal ang 10w30.

Remember nung 1980 to 1990s sikat ang 20w50 kaya mga tao naman sunud-sunuran na lang. Grabe ang lapot nun.

Sa toyota altis hiyang ang delo gold 15w40 , zic 5000 POWER 15w40. zic up 10w40 engine oil. Good for 10,000kms.

Pwede din yung zic a 10w40 pero hanggang 5,000 to 7,000kms lang.

Two or three sundays ago sinamahan ko barkada ko oil change altis zr engine gamit 5000 POWER.

Sa car user manual ang altis, API SL pa yan.

Pero for other gasoline engine like honda, hyundai, kia, mitsubishi lalo na mirage....wag 15w40. Sluggish hatak.

Pagka alala ko, pagka mineral oil ang gamit, 20w50 kasi ang viscosity hindi stable sa varied temperature operating range (example ay city & high traffic conditions, kung saan masyadong nagiinit makina kaya ninipis viscosity ng oil), di kagaya ng synthetics na stable ang viscosity over a wide temp operating range. Dahil dito, synthetics are less viscous but more protective especially during startups where they make their way easily into every corner & surface of the engine at the same time, does not lose their viscosity when stuck in a traffic jam when engine temperatures go up.

Di at a importante yung first number sa climate natin, kasi yun ay for cold start, W meaning winter. Mas importante yung 2nd number, indicating weight or viscosity, 50 being most viscous. Tama ba?

So it goes to show that the zic rv 10w30 is safe pala to use for montero (having an oil spec of 15w40).

Sa may exit ng startoll (batangas city bound) meron dun suking auto supply, nakalimutan ko lang pangalan.. Tapat ng jollibee tambo, then katabi ng bdo.. Merong top1 dun.. Its a few meters lang from hyundai lipa.. Last bili ko ng top1 sdo, 290/quart

Icheck mo muna car user manual ng accent kung ano minimum api rating.

Personally hindi ako gagamit ng cf rating.

Kung wala gaano choices jan sa probinsya, wala ka ba kamag-anak sa metro manila na umuuwi jan sa province? Or magpaship ka na lang. Para hindi ka maloko eh hingin mo bank account. Wag ka magbabayad thru courier.
