Up ko lang yung query ko.
Are there other users who experienced similar fuel back flow issues? Basically, the result is having to occasionally pump the feeder by hand till the fuel reaches the injection pump (pag bumigat na yung pump, it will start with one click). I'm using an FC321 but planning to change to a Baldwin BF7534 (4D56 application).
Thanks! I'll check for air leaks or loose fittings then. Will also check the filter baka kulang sa higpit both filter and water separator.
hello dieseldude, i own a kia sportage gen1 kr2 2.0l diesel, model 1997 i think. any idea on why sea-oil diesel gives a low rpm - flat on the 2/3 line at idle as against shell/petron which a tad higher around 5rpm. power's about the same on highway or hilly roads. location is Zamboanga City. thanks, this thread is most useful and practical. more power!
Dieseldude, is it true that Montero Sport Non-VGT's engine is "sirain" in the long run? Some people told me that the 4d56 engine is just good at first. They didnt tell me naman kung ano yung mga "sirain" na yun. I'm just scared. Any thoughts on this engine? TIA.

I think I found where the air leak is. I disassembled the feed pump assembly and tried pumping with the inlet port closed. To my surprise, I barely felt any suction and the hand pump will just return to its original position, indicating a possible air leak. Removed the fuel filter, covered the holes and pumped, same thing. I went to an auto supply just to check how a brand new feeder pump behaves and presto, the pump will stay pressed down if I pumped with the inlet port plugged. Bought the new feeder pump for P330 pesoses.
I checked the old feeder pump after disassembly and to my horror, the diaphragm was ripped! It was probably destroyed when the gas station mechanic started pumping after I had the filter replaced a month or so ago. And as per my observation, the pump's palm rest is stuck to the shaft (which should normally turn without moving the shaft) so a slight circular movement of the palm while pumping might have ruined the diaphragm, no thanks to the gas station mechanic.
Installed the new feeder, transferred the fuel filter (since it's relatively new and had no water when I drained it), reassembled the hoses, clamped everything tightly and started pumping. When the pump got heavy, I bled the system on all 4 injectors including the feeder's bleed screw. After 5 seconds on the glow plug, cranked and it started off with one click. Idled the engine for around 15 minutes then turned the engine off.
Tried starting later after the sun went down (approximately 7 hours from the last start) and it's still a one-click wonder. Will be observing in the later days if the problem is finally addressed. The joys of being able to fix stuff by one's self is priceless (aside from the pesoses saved on labor costs)
Thanks and more power Dieseldude!
Sir will try to butt in, Does this happen regularly or just sometimes? if sometimes its common for Isuzu engines if the accelerator pedal is pressed hard suddenly at this rpm range, try to gradually press the accelerator pedal or change to lower gear to increase speed.
BTW sir dieseldude, 4JB1t Isuzu TFS55, How do I know if thepriming pump is broken already? Have air in the system and can't find the leak pa, the priming pump is only about 2 years old original isuzu.

Have air in the system and can't find the leak pa, the priming pump is only about 2 years old original isuzu. Check for loose hose clamps or sealing washers. Check for bad oring seal on top surface of filter, worn seal on bleeder screw, bad threads/seal on water sensor and drain plug.
hi sir DieselDude,
I have a pajero 4d56 TDIC, hard starting everytime the engine is cold and biglang mamatay engine, kailangan kong i-rev ung engine above 1500 for 1 minute para di mamatay, mausok, losing power when going uphill, mabagal ang arangkada pag naka-on ang a/c, may mga times pa na bigla na lang mamatay ang engine pag naka-stop then kailangan nang umbante kaya pinapatay ko a/c kapag nakastop ako para hindi mamatay pag abante, what could be the problem?
thanks
i tried driving my friend's L300. i noticed that it won't go beyond 70kph. i asked my friend about it, and he told me that its been like that for years even after change oil, filter etc. what do you think is the problem? is it fuel injection pump?
Sir,
I just bought a 2002 nissan patrol diesel and its casa maintained. So far i dont have any problems w the car except that i heard that di daw pwede basta basta diesel engine oil dun, maselan daw parang isuzu trooper na pag ibang engine oil ginamit mo magloloko as per the service advisor of nissan. Is this true? Is there no other way every change oil na ipa change oil sa labas since its already 10 years old even if use synthetic motor oil? Your reply/ comment would highly be appreciated. We had an isuzu trooper before but it was sold as even if we were buying BESCO oil from isuzu mausok parin.
