Check your air and fuel filter. Pag nasakal ang makina sa hangin, uusok talaga ng itim ang kotse mo. Before sending it back, it's best to do this first.
Also, hatawin mo ang maneho pag napalitan mo yung filter para matanggal ang soot na natira sa exhaust. Kung hindi ito nababawasan, go back to the workshop for warranty repair; baka meron pang ibang problema, for example, turbo damage, leaking intercooler, old nozzles in injectors.
But, before proceeding with other repairs, be sure it is diagnosed properly by a competent workshop. and a guarantee from the workshop, na pag inayos ang diagnosed problem tanggal ang problema mo.

My car is a starex 2001 a/t. After my mechanic observed a leak from the injection pump (somewhere at the inner portion), he directed me to have it calibrated which i did. After then, the following i observed from the car:
1. vibrations (and humming sound) from 1st gear
2. noticeable gear changes delayed (above 2000 rpm)
3. not so responsive acceleration, have to hit the accelerator hard for it to gain power (especially at star-up)
these what i did:
1. already changed oil, air-filter, atf, clean strainer, fuel filter
recommendations of mechanics i consulted: change transmission and repair turbo
Prior to the calibration of the injection pump, i have no problem with the unit.
Are the recommendations correct?

I have a Sedona A/T 2002, my problem just started yesterday while cruising in the highway. noticed that when i reach 60KPH parang nabibilaukan yung van the RPM ups and down just like engine breaking (kumakadyot) nakakahilo tuloy. pero kapag 0 to 50+kph wala namang ganoong problem. Tried to press the hold button wala namang problem until i reach 100kph but the RPM is very high due to it is in 3rd gear only.
i think yung van is trying to shift to 4th. im encountering the problem even i press or not the accelerator.
Last na ginawa ko is i change the Fuel Filter and air filter.
May problem na po kaya yung injector ko? is it marumi/barado? or is there something to do with the pump?
Hindi nga po pala mausok yung van ko, no sign of black smoke.

May problem na po kaya yung injector ko? is it marumi/barado? or is there something to do with the pump? Hindi nga po pala mausok yung van ko, no sign of black smoke. Mukhang wala naman problem ang fuel system mo. Recheck fuel filter installation. Baka nakakasipsip ng hangin.

My experience with our innova.
Last month, nung nagdrive ako from NAIA to makati, ok pa naman. Then yung pa northbound na ng Roxas boulevard, as expected traffic kasi it was a sunday. Stop and go yung movement namin. Then bigla nalang namatay yung engine niya, not once but twice. Sabi ko nga sa driver namin the next day, parang bigla nalang nawalan ng supply ng fuel yung engine. Sabi niya buti nalang daw ako, sa kalsada lang namatayan ng engine, eh yung case niya, hanging pa tapos bigla nalang namatay yung engine. Buti nalang daw walang car sa likod. And parang nag-chchoke na yung makina niya simula nung pumunta kami sa tagaytay last october. And lumakas pa yung FC niya. And one time before nangyari yung engine shut-down case, pag cold start ko, bigla ang baba nung idle niya, parang mamamatay na pero nung pinalitan na ng fuel filter, sabi ng driver namin, hindi na daw ulit nangyari yun.
Ano kaya yung problem nung innova? Sabi kasi, papalitan lang yung SCV, ok na daw. Yun lang ba talaga yung problem or may mga gagawin pa ba? And mga magkano kaya yung gagawing repair para doon?

-Mileage-55-60k kilometers, not quite sure because it is driver-driven.
-Replaced the fuel filter in between 58k-59k kilometers

thanks for the info.found out my turbo assembly was completely damage.oil passes thru the turbo goes out to exhaust system resulted to heavy white smoke.got good surplus installed and we did engine flushing and oil change.diy na lang ginawa namin and now my td27 is back to normal.

Update ko lang yung Sedona problem ko:
Dinala ko yung van ko sa mechanic and he bleed the fuel filter sabi is meron nga raw hangin.
Test drive ko sya sa daan hari and nawala nga yung pagkadyot pagdating sa 60kph+.

Sabi ko nga im going to take the risk if well-known experts like sir diesel dude would recommend the use of an oil catch, but like what he said having few oil in the turbo is normal

I have an 01 Pajero fieldmaster which i just got last december. lately i am having a cold starting problem. and when it starts, it emits black smoke. the black smoke is released only after it started but disappears w/in a second or 2. I heard from a certain forum that he was able to resolve the cold starting problem after they fixed his injection pump.
do you do this kind of service ?
how much will it cost and as well as the cleaning of the injectors?
do you think that i might be having same problem?
im also worried that my consumption is a bit abnormal. bet. 5-7 city driving.
what's your opinion in using injector cleaners such as stp, etc.?

what's your opinion in using injector cleaners such as stp, etc.? Cleaner might work if fuel system is dirty. It can't fix a worn out part. Parts wear out over time.

ask ko lang po I bought a second hand montero sports and when I opened the fuel door para magpalagay ng diesel I noticed may rust sa entrance area niya. Can I do something about it para matanggal ang rust? where can I have it removed?
