Depende siguro yan kung magkano ang presyo sa casa. Halimbawa, Mitsubishi 1230A182 nasa P1200+ sa casa pero Baldwin B1431 nasa P400+ lang. Magkano presyo sa Subaru casa?

Purolator is the one that invented the oil filter cotton weave type element.

WIX filters the the invented and patented the very first spin-on can oil filter.

Mann+Hummel is a large German company that is the biggest filtration manufacturer that not only supplies automotive and industrial vehicles but also hydro electric dams, trains, large ships, military equipment & etc...

    WIX Filters History

L.G. Alexander, the first president of WIX, once said, “A look back is helpful – if it helps us look ahead.” His sentiment is just as applicable today as WIX begins its 75th year.

Our focus today is the same as it was when we were founded in 1939 – to provide our customers with premium quality filters designed to exceed their performance demands. We are proud of our nearly eight decades of growth and innovation, and our focus on product development has made the name ‘WIX Filters’ synonymous with a rich tradition of excellence.

With 11 facilities in eight countries, WIX manufacturers more than 210 million filters annually and has customers in over 80 countries. We also have more than 3,500 employees globally, including 1,500 in the greater Gastonia area, and their daily passion and personal dedication help us make the best filter in the world.

But how did it all begin?

WIX Filters was founded in an old cotton mill in Gastonia by Jack Wicks and his business partner, Paul Crenshaw, who needed an inexhaustible supply of pure white cotton thread waste for the filtering media of their new company. At the time, Gastonia and Gaston County produced more combed cotton yarn than anywhere else in the world.

Wicks and Crenshaw soon saw a need for filter replacements that would simplify the filter changing process and, within 15 years, they turned the filter market upside down with the invention and patent of a spin-on oil filter design – known at the time as “twist of the wrist” – that quickly became the industry standard.

The spin-on filter was among a small handful of parts in our company’s early years. Today, WIX leads the industry in filtration product line breadth, including:

More than 12,000 unique products numbers, offering the aftermarket’s widest array of domestic and foreign nameplate oil, air, fuel, coolant, cabin air, hydraulic, and transmission filters.
The WIX industrial filter line, with more than 8,000 product numbers available for hydraulic and fluid power system applications.
The launch of a new line of heavy-duty filters in 2011; and
Just last year, the launch of our high performance XP synthetic filter.

In addition, for more than 50 years the WIX name has become well-known among the generations of motorsports champions who have driven to the winner’s circle with WIX Filters. We are the No. 1 filter in motorsports, and our engineers will be working alongside Richard Childress Racing this season, applying their research in the ultra-competitive world of racing to the everyday demands of light- and heavy-duty consumer and commercial usage.

For more than 75 years, WIX has revolutionized the filtration industry our way – with quality and innovation. And, we’re still just as busy as ever applying for patents that will shape the history of filtration.

As a company we’ve come a long way since our humble beginning in an old cotton mill, but looking ahead, it’s easy to see that we’re just getting started.

If nasa P524 ang Baldwin, Mitsubishi is at P900~P1,200 and WIX nasa P300~P400.

kahit ano jan. Basta baldwin 1431 hindi na lalagpas 400. And yung wix is made by mann hummel so respetado pero hindi pa ako nakatry. If price ni wix at 250 to 300pwede na. So depende sa presyo. But if same 400 eh kay baldwin ako.

And every time bibili kayo filters check saan made kasi advice sa akin friend ko nagbabago country of origin. Mas cheaper if made sa asia.

Si ZIC-Baldwin din nagbebenta ng WIX filters.

WIX is an OEM supplier of filters to many car manufacturers, industrial equipment and etc... they are owned by the biggest filtration manufacturer in the world which is Mann+Hummel so quality is assured 200%.

Then the WIX oil filter is only around P300-P400 or possibly lower pa so bang for the buck and quality sa WIX na ako.

Asides from heavy duty industrial use, they are also the number 1 filter of NASCAR.

WIX is as popular as Baldwin, Donaldson & Fleetguard sa heavy and industrial equipment especially sa mining sa Visayas and Mindanao.

What happened with WIX brand kasi is the previous distributor of WIX filters retired and closed his company na mga 5-6 years ago na so nawala yung supply ng WIX filters sa market for heavy, industrial and maritime filters. When Mann+Hummel completely bought WIX filters USA nag reorganize ang WIX sa lahat ng countries then 2019 na ulit nag restart ng revival ng distribution ng WIX filters outside the American market.

That's the reason why nawala si WIX din sa Philippines sa heavy and industrial vehicles especially when the previous distributor closed down and retired already.

According from the information from Mann+Hummel 2019 was the year they restarted to re-introduce WIX filters again sa Philippines market all segments so bali 1 year and more lang ang market presence ni WIX.

This is the reason why Mann+Hummel pulled out Purolator filters in Asia and refocused yung strategy ni Purolator sa USA, Canadian & etc... markets then they used WIX filters to offer to the aftermarket kasi mas complete ang range ni WIX filters like oil, fuel, air, cabin, hydraulic and etc... filters compared with Purolator.

WIX is the main competitors of Baldwin, Donaldson & Fleetguard, you can ask industrial, mining and etc... companies.

Kaso the difference lang now is that they are also targeting the passenger vehicle market narin since malakas WIX filters sa US market.

WIX and Purolator filters are the only few companies that can produce fully synthetic non-cellulose oil filters that can withstand 20,000 km or more oil change intervals.

Then these companies are under supervision by the german headquarters Mann+Hummel, as far as I know Mann+Hummel sent their German engineers and managerial employees in all of the plants ng WIX and Purolator for more stricter quality control.

Ganyan talaga sa online as per my friends na engaging in online selling sa platforms ng Lazada and Shopee kasi ng iba ibang products kahit nga face mask and face shield dati magkano P20 to P50 per piece pero now nasa P10 to P20 nalang diba? Kasi mas volume production na so masmura na prices nila.

1st of all may commission each transaction si Lazada and Shopee.
2nd Lazada and Shopee sellers are the ones paying half of the cost ng shipping fees kaya customers like us only pay P40-P50 shipping fee within Metro Manila because they are subsidized by the sellers as per requirement ng both online platforms.

Buti nga ang WIX filters dumadami na vendors compared before masmarami ng choices, therefore the basic rule ng isang economy:

The more the competition the lower the costs of the products it ends up na cheaper narin prices ng products for end users in the end we get the best product and best possible prices. The basic economies of scale dictates the higher the production and supply the cheaper to produce the products since they can negotiate with their raw material suppliers for volume discount.

More supply in the market means babagsak talaga ang prices at a certain level. Nagtataka ako ang tagal na binebenta ng Baldwin pero up to now ang mahal parin sobra ng prices as in same high prices parin si Baldwin even though how many years na siya binebenta sa market no changes kahit masmarami na vendors so in the end yung value for your money is still not reasonably economical especially if your oil change interval is just every 10,000 km.

Masmagtaka ka ang tataaas ng prices ni Baldwin ilan years na nasa market bawi na nila costs ng moulds and machinery nila pero still the same price as WIX when WIX was re-introduce sa Philippines & other countries in 2019.

Quality and value for money ratio WIX is currently best choice.

Sa gasoline engine umaabot ng 20,000kms ang oil filter. Dito lang naman sa pilipinas pinauso every 10,000. Casa nga may topak gusto 5,000 palit na agad.

And baldwin dati pa meron non-cellulose oil filter example B2-HPG and the likes.

So ngayon at 400pesos eh reasonable price same quality pa din.

Sa lazada and siiopee ang dami mahgugulang. Imagine yung link na pinost na wix at 640 previous price tapos kaya naman pala ibagsak sa 260. Masyadong scammer ang tubo. Ano mafefeel nung bumili at 640.

Yes nabasa ko na yan thread na yan. WIX consistent din ang quality since sila ang naka invent ng spin-on oil filter na binebenta ngayon ng ibang companies, without WIX there won't be spin-on can oil filters you should take note of that. Then Purolator ang pinaka original creator ng lube filters nung element type palang na gawa sa cotton.

WIX as far as I know only produces their filters in-house whichever country may OEM supply sila sa car manufacturers. They don't outsource any single part number of their filters.

Wala pang spin-on oil filters or even internal combustion engine filters si Baldwin nandyan na si Purolator & WIX so eexpect mo ilan dekada na ang experience nila. Don't get me wrong, it seems that you are looking at WIX as inferior to Baldwin which is completely incorrect.

If WIX is inferior to Baldwin then why do many major car manufacturers ask them to produce the filters for them? Masmarami pang OEM supply si WIX than Baldwin which is mostly only supplied to Parker Hannifin.

If you check the Amsoil website or even Shell sa Latin America both companies sell WIX filters side by side with their lubricants.

Kahit sa US and etc... countries ang oil change interval is 10,000 km and above sa Southeast Asia kasi masmabilis mag oxidize ang engine oil dahil masmainit and humid ang temperature natin so by engineering aspects of it masmabilis magexpire kaya masmaikli ang oil change intervals natin espcially very dusty ang surroundings natin vs. USA, Canada and Europe na colder and dry climates.

You have mistaken since kaya lang naman 5,000 km ang oil change before ng casa is because we are using mineral oil hindi pa katulad now na puro synthetic or fully synthetic engine oils na which have higher resistance of the oil molecule breaking down and evaporating, may science before yung mga oil change interval. Don't assume to think better than the car engineers and chemical engineers who have been studying the process of creating each parts that could withstand 100,000 km or more than the 3-5 years warranty that they offer. Electronics nga and household equipment halos lahat 1 year warranty lang paano pa kaya ang moving motorized vehicles na expose sa lahat ng harsh elements ng outside world.

Baldwin has only 1 packaging because it only focuses more on selling sa industrial sector kaya puro singular packaging lang which is not of any use naman since you don't install the packaging sa motor vehicle mo.

WIX and Purolator have several grades ng filters nila that they offer to the end users, while WIX has only one standard for the industrial sector.

Iisa lang point of origin ng Baldwin maybe due to the fact na mas konti lang ang O.E. customers niya compared to WIX, since WIX has a lot of O.E. customers those customers demand must be met by WIX immediately kaya they put up plants all around the world parang Just In Time system ni Toyota which requires their O.E. suppliers to put up plants wherever may malakas na manufacturing presence si Toyota, Mitsubishi and etc... so kapag nagorder si Toyota kailangan madeliver kaagad ng O.E. suppliers or if late sila magdeliver sa car, truck & manufacturers may heavy penalty just the same as big companies like SM, Ayala and etc... na may penalty sa mga suppliers nila na late ang deliveries.

Iilan lang ang O.E. customers ni Baldwin and mostly nasa US & China lang ang customers ni Baldwin so literally most of their plants are only located at those locations.

Ang Baldwin all these 10 years na no changes parin ang prices although economies of scale is better for them na since yung cost ng equipment nila is bawi na and yung raw materials due to volume is at a better price na, so paano pa kaya diba? So hanggang nayon ba Baldwin is still charging the same cost of its used equipment as if brand new siya then pasa parin sa consumers? While si WIX sa market 2-3 years slowly bumababa na ang prices dahil mas volume na ang production nila ng filters. FYI WIX filters alone produces 210,000,000 million filters a year hindi pa kasama Mann+Hummel parent company nila.

In basic logic mas better choice parin si WIX na dahil you are getting the best filtration at a more competitive price which is friendlier sa mga consumers like us.

    News

Ito yung link about WIX heavy duty industrial & etc... filters:
    Wix Filters (Review)

They currently have 11 production facilities in 8 countries. So they don't have to outsource any of their products outside.

Wala naman tayo magagawa if doon sa mga nagbenta ng P640 if sakaling mataas ang binebenta nilang prices ng mga ganun sellers since free will and choice nila yun. Ang important and maganda lang now is nagiging better and hopefully maging better pa ang prices ng WIX through time as dumadami supplies sa market. At least si WIX nagiging mas friendly ang prices sa users like us.
