Almost impossible na walang bypass valve ang mga canister type filter dahil kapag nagblock mas lalong masisira ang engine na walang oil kesa sa engine na may dirty oil.
Meron bypass valve ang following brands:
Bosch, JS Asakashi, Nippon Micro, VIC, WIX and etc...

No good ang VIC filters as per filtration testing, yung filter media niya up to 87% max kaya linisin 40 microns of contaminants sa engine oil after 10 mins 81% of 40 microns kayang linisin and ang bilis magshrink or humina yung filter element ng VIC.

Para sa mga naka-Ford, may 5w30 Acea A5/B5 na oil sa lazada, Fully synthetic na, 1800 php for 4 liter, United Oil Gold ang brand, Singapore based company. Gamitan na lang ng Bosch oil filter pwede na siguro for 10k km oil change.

How about cheaper OEM filters like Isuzu Best Value Oil filters? How does it compare with VIC?

For me the answer for Isuzu Best Value Parts is to compete with aftermarket brands, because they buy those filters from other manufacturers which could offer them the best price. Most of the Best value parts of filters' origin is China, which is not the standard Isuzu Genuine Parts filters which are sourced in Japan or Indonesia OEM brands. That is why Isuzu called it Best "VALUE" Parts which means it is a cheaper version of their better Genuine parts.

Personally I would not recommend BEST VALUE PARTS, since I have a friend who supplies Isuzu Philippines with some part numbers as OES(Original Equipment Service) of their filters and they are asked to get the cheapest price to supply Isuzu with. I would stick with Isuzu Genuine since they are made by a Japanese reputable manufacturer, or other choices like Wix, Nippon Micro or JS Asakashi for the aftermarket. Problem with Baldwin is that the supplies coming in the Philippines is not the American made one but the cheaper one from China.

Alam ko lang is United oil gold and Hyundai Xteer prime. Sa mga local hardwares/autoshops medyo mahirap maghanap ng Acea A5/B5 rated na oils.
