hintyin na lang na ma-fully drained ang battery bago palitan. but kung may lakad kang malayo and all the indications llike hard starting ocurred eh dapat palitan mo na mahirap na abutin ka pa ng masama sa daan kung saan walang immediate na mabilhan ng battery.

When the signs shows up, I replace the battery immediately. Usually before 2 yrs old.

In my case, last year I didn't wait. The stock battery was already two years old anyway and I had a drive up to Subic coming up. I didn't want the car conking out on me in the middle of nowhere.

Depending on driving conditions, Jazzes and Cities can be a little hard on their batteries so a two-year replacement is good practice (although I know a few Jazz drivers who've had longer battery lives). Or you could at least keep a new one in the back every two years, along with a set of jumper cables, in case the battery does decide to die on you in some inopportune place.

When the battery is more than 1 year old and showing signs of weakness, I make it a point to replace it. Before, I would take a chance and hope that it will last longer. But on several occasions it would conk out in the wrong place and the wrong time. So better safe than sorry. Like what one mechanic told me, mas madali magpalit ng belt sa garahe kesa sa kalye. (about replacing worn out belts.)

mabuti at nakauwi pa ako buhay..

(ayaw na namin motolite for now, ibang brand na muna )

    thanks in advance.
