For the Cruze's headlamps, I'm not sure but there is a possibility that the diffuser will have to be removed to make way for the longer bulbs of HID's. If not or sakto ang fit, then good, but if not - todo glare yan without the diffuser.
Cut-off is how the lights are emitted by your car, at night, point your lights to a flat wall and you should notice a pattern similar to this:

This cut-off ensures that you won't "blind" incoming traffic as the left side of the light throw is low (given na nasa kaliwa mo ang kasalubong mo going the opposite lane) and the right side is albeit higher to make use of the extra light on your passenger side (given na opposite side na 'to ng kasalubong mo, you can make use of the extra light on this side for spotting pedestrians in full darkness etc.)
Pag kinabitan mo ng HID ang halogen headlights mo without a projector, mawawala 'tong cutoff na 'to, hence nasisilaw ang mga kasalubong mo. Yung iba, ginagawa eh naghe-headlight alignment (eto yung kung gaano kataas or kababa ang bato ng ilaw mo) at sinasagad na mababa yung bato ng ilaw para maiwasan na masilawan yung kasalubong. Kaso ganun pa rin ito, masisilaw pa rin kasalubong mo kahit gaano pa kababa yan. At kung sinagad mo nga sa baba yung bato ng ilaw, safety mo rin mismo ang mako-compromise gawa ng nawalan ng sense na mag-HID ka pa kasi yung layo ng daan na dapat na naiilawan ng headlights mo eh in effect nabawasan din.
