Sir i need help in choosing between Honda City 1.5e and Cruze. I want to be very careful since this will be my first car that i will be paying.

Approve na ako sa parehas na sasakyan im just having 2nd thoughts of getting the Cruze because of the FC. Mahal na kc gasolina looking at the long term. Pero gusto ko ung interior ng Cruze very cozy and sporty tignan compared sa City. Hope to get your ideas.

I chose a LS A/T cruze over mazda 3. thanks a lot to you guys. everyone's opinion helped me decide which car to choose. and so finally, i'll be having my cruze tomorrow. wohooo! i still hope to learn more from you while enjoying my new car. thanks again everyone!

I think you have already answered your question. If you are concerned over FC, then I think you will not be happy with the Cruze. Ano ba ang FC ng Honda City 1.5?

Maganda nga and interiors ng Cruze, but if you keep glancing at the fuel gauge then you won't enjoy, diba?

for me, pinili ko ang cruze for its looks and price.

Bro, it took me several weeks to decide what car to buy and since vios gamit ko ngayon syempre iba naman ang gusto ko. My 1st consideration is FC since i travel 130km/day so sure deal na ako sa city 1.5E until I test drive the cruze and it was 'love at 1st site' so to speak. In conclusion bahala na sa FC, hahahaha!

I must agree and for a few additional pesos, you can have the 1.8 power of Cruze compared to the 1.5 of City.

The PMS schedule of the Cruze is every 10,000 kms or 6 months whichever comes first.

Here are the expected PMS cost:

10K, 20K, 30K, 50K, 70K, 90K, 100K PMS (or every 6 months) - Change oil and inspect
1. Semi-synthetic oil (P400-600 range per liter, depending on brand to use)
2. Oil-filter - P851.00
3. Labor - P440.00 flat rate

40K, 80K, 120K PMS (or every 2 years) - Change oil, inspect, brake fluid, spark plug
1. Semi-synthetic oil (P400-600 range per liter, depending on brand to use)

3. Labor - P440.00 flat rate
4. Brake fluid - (5 bottles x P250) - 1,250.00
5. Spark Plugs (iridium) -

60K, 120K PMS (or every 3 years) - Change oil, inspect, timing belt
1. Semi-synthetic oil (P400-600 range per liter, depending on brand to use)
2. Oil-filter - P851.00
3. Labor - P440.00 flat rate
4. Timing belts - TBA (price range 3,500 to 7,000 - I hope its on the low end)

For any unexpected problem, Chevy Pasig is giving the service inspection (manual and computerized diagnosis) FREE for 5 years.

Warranty is 3 years or 100,000 kms whichever comes first.

This is an excellent deal my friends.

Cover it with insurance and you'll have a worry free ownership.

BTW - Chevy Pasig is giving FREE insurance, LTO, and Chattel for June to July buyers.

FC comparison between Civic and Cruze....

Very true. But the Cruze has better drag coefficient of 0.31 compared to the civic's 0.36.

I don't know how this translate to FC but there are many factors to consider like air flow direction, humidity, cleanliness of the front end panels, etc.

Cruze has 141HP, civic has 140HP.

Cruze is 6-speed AT, Civic is 5-speed AT.

At high way the 6-speed transmission will define the difference in FC rating.

At the above figures and and feature comparison, CRUZE is the clear winner!
