Car and Driver, Road & Track and Motor Trend's estimates or "opinions" are all within 1 sec of their actual 0 to 60 tests. Go compare any of their "First Drive" estimates with their actual test numbers and you'll find that they get that close.

To take bigbigcar's 14.9 sec number as realistic is saying that Car and Driver, Road & Track and Motor Trend will be wrong.

If ever na hindi mo alam, climate affects the car as this could lessen or increase the air drag thus making the car accelerate faster or slower. it depends.

Siguro if lets say, auto industriya tested the cruze and they got 12s and bbc tested the cruze and they got 15s mas pwede pa pagtalunan.

Let me comment about parts availability. Chevrolet Pasig is the central parts depot for Shaw, Alabang and Laguna. We do share thesame stock to service our customers better but here in Pasig is where the most parts are. It shouldn't be a problem which dealer within our group you order the parts.

TCCCI stocks of parts for the Cruze - stocks of parts are continuously arriving to improve the fill rate. TCCCI cannot afford to loose on this car in terms of parts availability. This is the flagship model that will determine the reputation of TCCCI as Chevrolet Philippines. I'm putting my bet on this as I see the dedication of the people behind TCCCI aftersales group.

Sir, is the Carmona dealership the same as the Laguna you mentioned in your post? I'm not familiar with the Laguna area but i do see the chevy dealership in the carmona interchange, i think its still part of cavite. I'm planning to buy a chevy (captiva) either this Dec or Feb at the latest at this dealer, I'm trying to find out as much as i can about aftersales service.

ako hindi naman ako binibitin ng cruze huling biyahe ko zigzag don sa may antipolo papunta laguna kahit paakyat nagoovertake naman ako ayos lang naman im using LS\AT pero manual gamit ko pag overtake ako para hindi mag shift yung gear ng maaga hanggang 150 lang na speed pa lang ang inabot ko sa cruze sa nlex lang medyo dami sasakyan hindi ko pa natry sa sctex pero maganda handling niya kahit mabilis.

The manufacturer's claim of Chevy for the Cruze 1.8L A/T is 10.8 seconds for 0 to 100kph. But such manufacturer's claims has been proven "inaccurate" in the past.

I see... Maybe thats why recently, Niky is trying to ask us and search for some other Cruze unit for him to test to compare and check the difference between the response of the cruze unit that they have tested that he said was a bit sluggish for some reason to check and determine everything for the review.
Maybe autoindustriya can update their reviews with reg the cruze 0-100km in secs. without basing it via the manufacturers statement.
The power of the cruze a/t is pretty much equivalent to its refined design as a cruise not race. In fact you will never have any problems when overtaking some slow vehicles in times when you need to do so. Like they said, its powerful enough once your in the move from 0-219kmph in a stretch mile and a power to overtake while climbing up hill like everyone has experienced it.

Like SG said a while ago, lets just wait for the 2.0 variant if its gonna be release soon.

Magandang gabi mga sirs. Just got back from the province, nabreak-in na and napa-bless-an na din ang aking cruze, hehehehe. Ito na po 'yung itsura ng Light Gold nung cruze:


So far, ayun nga, medyo sluggish ang acceleration niya though when it comes to overtaking eh downshift na lang pangcompensate ko or talagang patience and timing na lang. And also, found out lang thru driving the car na kung gusto ko talaga na bumabatak siya dapat long gearing (tama ba pagkakasabi ko? ehehehe), mas matagal bago magshift, talagang bibigyan muna ng salida. Pero kapag mabilis nga, stable siya.

What I liked most naman about my cruze is 'yung interiors. Ako din hindi naman talaga speed and acceleration ang habol ko, lalo na't nakailang bangga na din ako dahil sa pagiging katipunero sa daan.
