Allow me to share this since I am using Caltex Gold. Taken from Caltex Q&A.

    Question:
My car owner’s manual says that I can use regular unleaded fuel. Is it true that a car engine’s octane requirements can increase over time?

    Answer:
Yes, and Caltex Gold and Platinum with Techron® have high octane that can maximise performance in cars with increased octane requirements. Over time, deposits can accumulate in your car’s combustion chambers. These deposits can cause knocking or pinging, run-on or reduced performance, particularly if your car has driven over 25,000 kilometres. A high octane fuel can help you reduce or eliminate these problems (except the run-on). While some of these engines may be satisfied by the octane offered by our Silver grade, others may require the even higher octane of Caltex Gold and Platinum. If combustion chamber deposit build-up is affecting your car, Caltex Gold and Platinum with Techron® can help restore its performance. The unique formulation of Techron® minimises the contribution to combustion chamber deposits and can help limit your car’s increase in appetite for octane.

The interior design is really great especially the dashboard. Illumination and controls are very cool. Far from its competitors.

Got the same average FC before at 5kpl. But now I'm averaging 6.7kpl (15L/100KM). This is purely city driving (with light to heavy traffic). Expecting to improve more as my KM reading gets higher..

For security reasons, ensure remote unlock settings to 1st push driver's door only 2nd push all doors. (I think this is the default setting)
Never in the history of our parking lot a car is being scrutinized this much. Each time I go down and puff my marlboro red: Sir, pwede patingin?

I realize that because of the clean air act law, bawal na magbenta ng gasolina na may lead. But how can we be so sure all gasolines in P.I. are unleaded?
'hope somebody could shed light on this...

This is purely CITY driving. Sometimes aggresive driving, sometimes relaxed.

With Gold Techron 95 Octane, average of one full tank: 12.5 L/100km (8 km/L).

With Silver Techron 93 Octane, average of half tank: 14.3 L/100km (7 km/L).

Where I am at, the difference between 93 and 95 octane is only 10 centavos per liter. So I tried the Gold but after consuming the full tank, I went back to Silver because I'm not sure if our 95 octane is REALLY unleaded. I would love to go back to Gold though because for just 10 cents difference per liter, I get better fuel economy.

    Your comments please.

as long as you don't put "DIESEL" you guys won't have any problems.

I got the standard Magic Tint from chevy and its not that hot even driving on a sunny road up ahead.
My settings are (from the middle of thermostat) is 2 tick with a fan speed of 1. And its really cold even my rear passengers are quite comfortable at the back..

Try to have your A/C check at your chevy service center. Maybe the problem is not on your tint at all.

Guys, just want to share my experiences & observations when I brought up my Cruze LT AT to Baguio. The dealer advised me to inflate my tires to 40psi, kung gusto ko ng economy, pero medyo matagtag lang daw ang ride. I didn't notice that much of a difference in the ride, that's how nice the Cruze suspension is.

Along NLEX & SCTEX, doing a steady 80kph at 6th gear, the FC computer was reading between 4.8 lits/100kms to 5.8 lits/100kms. RPM was at 1,300, very economical nga. Iba talaga ang Ecotec engine. But it was difficult to maintain that speed, because the car was so quiet & smooth, I barely noticed I was doing 95kph to 100kph. At a short stretch I hit 120kph, but I backed off, baka mahuli for overspeeding.

Handling was superb for a car it's size. When other cars slow down due to rough roads, the Cruze just soaks it up. Highway overtaking was effortless, just a slight pressure on the accelerator & the car jumps. Sarap.

Going up Marcos Highway, the car handled well & had power to spare even when overtaking slower vehicles on an incline. For an 1800cc engine, it has loads of power. I even had to turn off the aircon compressor a couple of times, kasi ang lamig!

I very happy with my Chevy Cruze.

Cruze LS kasi ang isa sa choice ko as my first car (the other is Lancer EX GLX or GLS) and I will use it as my daily ride back & forth sa Makati & Marikina.
