Though most young adults can speak the English language natively, German is obviously widely used. What kept me sane are the travels around the area. But, Europe is boring to tell you the truth. Almost everything is closed on sundays. Shops closes early everyday. I went back to PH because I was homesick and because I found a good paying job. There are a lot of pluses though, career advancement, cultural experiences, etc. 3 years is long though. Some can leave everything behind but to be honest, if you can get a good paying job in the Philippines, nothing beats being home. When I went back, I did not care if traffic was hell here compared to German efficiency. Nothing can replace home
