Exactly. So at the end of the day, networking doesn't assure financial freedom any more than legitimate businesses or even corporate slavery.

Yet networkers market their scheme as if it's an easy/definite way to wealth. That's what doesn't sit very well with me.

well, recruitment is not really the appropriate word for it, royale bussiness model is like this, technically there is no membership, theyll sell you products at a discounted price, in turn you sell it for a profit....btw....noticed that they have no advertesments....besides nanay dionisia(royale member also)your members are the ones marketing the product....word of mouth...free marketing team

that's the only way they can convince people to pay thousands or tens of thousand to sign up to become a member

they make people think it's an investment

There lies the rub. Unless you have a market that really intends to buy the products per se rather than buying the products but only as a means of recruitment, it will NEVER BE SUSTAINABLE.

It's a very simple point yet I haven't met a single MLMer who has sufficiently discussed this end-game. It's always the glitz and glamour of recruitment and incentives. The elephant in the room that noone wants to discuss is that when the hype dies down, the only possible next step is to move on and let the last ones hanging on take the fall.

Take Royale for example. I have quite a number of friends who are genuinely pleased with their soaps. But that number isn't sustainable enough to support their payout structure.

Usana is another interesting example. I have quite a few batchmates who are so deeply entrenched in the company (directors? Is that what you call them?). As has been said, it takes full time effort to make it a sustainable way of life. My Usana friend who's very active on social media posts about his planning sessions with his downline on how they can "empower" more people.

These guys genuinely believe that they're helping others improve their lives. Sure, as long as there's someone else who's gullible enough to join, the uplines have a steady source of income. But sooner or later it will fold.

The sad thing is that they probably know that reality. The only way to avoid it is to have enough market demand for the products and not just the recruitment. Yet the focus is still always on recruitment because it's the only thing that draws people in.

syempre overpriced ang MLM products kasi madami kelangan bayaran (upline mo, upline ng upline mo, etc)

as i said before in this thread -- MLMs are just pyramid schemes in disguise

the only difference between MLMs and outright scams is PRODUCT

MLM products aren't anything special... like food supplements and herbal tea you can buy cheaper elsewhere (mlm products are hyped to justify high pricing... like meron daw sila special manufacturing process. pure bs)

pwede ka mag order sa China ng food supplement/personal care products that are packaged and labeled with your own brand

all you have to do i come up with a plan, a story

hire some actors to play doctor/scientist

start your own mlm

it's that easy

I am involved in this industry. Kailangan bago ka pumasok ang unang titignan mo is ung company profile. Ilang years na ba? Stable ba? Next ung mga products, madali ba mabenta? Effective? And lastly yung kitaan make sure may safety net. Dapat yung ilalabas mo na puhunan ay higit pa sa worth ng products na matatanggap mo kung hindi na scam ka. Maraming nagkalat na mlm companies. Kailangan mo lang aralin.
