But cutting up your existing headlights, nut and bolt method maybe a big deal breaker for some. Been there and done that although entry level E46 projectors lang gamit ko dati.
Yes those are the big dogs but the plug and play ones right now are pretty much up there na rin sans the big modification.
agree, can't deny that technology is always evolving. Also manufacturers are finding ways to make their product accessible to everyone kaya they consider din yung ease of install.
May cutting of wires ba ang hid retrofit?

Can't say the same sa HL assembly since bubuksan yan. But I'm planning to transfer it sa labas para madaling palitan if incase may problema ang ballast.

But you cant claim warranty sa headlight assembly if it moists.
Bka mwala if magpa retro.

Yup some headlights do have this option for the ballast mount but mine doesnt. My oem bulb is Philips D5S which has an integrated ballast at the back of the bulb itself and pinalitan ko yun ng D2S bulbs with external ballast. I could also make some custom brackets around the HL assembly pero cancel ko yun dahil under warranty pa unit ko and mainit sa mata ng mga taga casa pag nakita nila hehehe.

If philips or Osram yun I'll get that in a heartbeat hehehe.
