Planning on getting an HID retrofit

Looks ricey.

The legit retrofit shops I know (HIDretrofit.net and Redline Auto Works) focus on lighting output and not ricey aesthetics.

If you're not willing to shell out 15-20k for a decent retrofit, wag nalang. There is a price to pay for quality.

+1. Ok lang mag lagay ng accent pero not to the extent na mag mukhang christmas tree na yung vehicle mo. But sabi nga nila, kanya kanyang trip yan. Not to mention na bawal ang colored headlights.

Most reputable and known shop ay NHK ang parts na gamit nila sa entry level. AES are so cheap and poor performance that I bet wala sa inventory ng mga known retrofitters yan. You can even buy those sa lazada. Ibang klaseng car mods kasi ang HL retrofitting, hindi ito katulad sa ibang mods na pag may mali or palpak sa trabaho that you can just rush into any car shop you can find para ipa ayos. Mabibilang ko lang sa daliri ko ang mga shop na malinis at maayos gumawa ng retrofitting. Pero atleast prep ka mga 15k for a decent entry level. But I assure you na yang entry level ng mga reputable shops are waaaaay better than your stock HL or any cheapo projectors.

Baka nga nag change ng number or di napansin sms mo dahil busy. Actually meron na rin yan sila branch sa cebu.
May mga customers dito ang xenon concepts and they are happy naman sa outcome nung install nila.

Are you by any chance working in some philippine government secret agency? Since wala ka FB hehehe. Joke My wife's friend doesnt have FB dahil pinag bawalan ng mister na gumamit ng social media. Her husband works ata sa NSA sa america.
Back to topic. Ano projectors nyo na inorder? I heard the G5 has a good performance.

Bulbs lang inorder ko. I have an existing FXR w/ clear lens and 55w Matsushita ballast done by Gary sa Civic FD ko back in 2011. Yung bulb Philips 85122 na kailangan na ireplace kasi nahihinaan na ko spsecially kapag dumaan ako sa asphalt road without street lights. Compared kapag ginamit ko Everest ng mother ko that has stock HID projectors, hina na talaga ng FXR ko.

Oh ok. I'm actually a fan of FXR. Yan din gamit ko sa previous vehicle ko. Actually meron isang bagong retrofitter akong na tanungan at nag inquire ako if meron silang FXR at sabi sa akin luma na daw ang FXR at sinabi nya sa akin yung mga bago nya. Nag smile na lang ako dahil FXR might be old pero when it comes to width and light throw, yung mga sinabi nya sa akin na projectors na bago is way below in performance sa FXR.
Kung Hindi ka pa naka pag order sana ng bulb I would suggest the gen 2 philips xv c1 If your a philips kind of guy. I'm using the gen 1 at the moment and it is more intense kesa sa 85122 ko dati sa previous vehicle ko.

I was told kasi other philips variants big price jump pero little light improvement. Checking the prices sa TRS, x2 ang price ng XV C1 sa 85122. Mahal. Hehe

Ayaw nyo ng osram cbi? Ok naman performance so far.

Ang ayoko lang sa FXR is hindi plug and play. Straight retrofit talaga siya. To some that's a leap of faith.

CBI is really good based on on personal experience, specially a couple of hours burn in and the yellow tint lessens into more of bluish white.

Osram CBI actually is an excellent bulb. Kaya nag labas ang philips ng pang tapat dyan sa cbi eh dahil most people prefer the cbi lalo na pag pinag usapan ang price. Di ko lang type ang color temperature. I prefer a little warmer color temp of the philips counterpart ng cbi. If sa city siguto ako nakatira I might consider cbi but taga probinsya ako with lots of unlit asphalt road, parati fog not to mention during rainy season. Plus I just like the philips brand hehehe. Personal preference na lang.
