    Mayroon pa bang gas stations ng Shell-Caltex-Petron ang nagbebenta ng pure gasoline?

    Unti-unting nauubos ang mga kahoy sa Amazon dahil sa lintek na E10 na yan.Tubo´na ang ipinapalit nila sa mga kahoy para sa produksyon ng alkohol.Baka gayahin din ng pinas ang brazil, puro tubo ang makikita sa mga bundok.Makakalbo lalo mga bundok natin gaya ni pinoy

    Based on this;

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amazon_Rainforest

    91% ng deforestation is for livestock pasture and slash & burn farming while the rest is for soy beans farming. So may point naman si dagol. pero since 2005 declining na rin deforestation dyan due to pressure coming from the Global warming advocates. Hopefully it does improve. If I remember last year ang worst drought experienced in the Amazon. So the effects is still not positively negated by recent actions. Kelangan pa ng reforestation and tougher implementation of rules vs illegal logging. Parang sa Pilipinas din yan, yung mga may pera/kapangyarihan, nagagawan ng paraan na makakuha ng license at the expense of the marginalized people in the area. Hindi long-term benefits kasi ang tinitignan.

    talaga? i didn't know this is happening. . .sa mga caltex kasi puro ethanol-blended pa

    aren't they breaking the law for selling pure gasoline?

    true, technically they might be breaking the law. But you can't sell what you can't source either... I think ethanol is either too expensive or in short supply.

    ^then that would be a great news for our engine but a bit of bad news for our pockets.

    Good news for your engines and pockets. Non-E10 gasoline actually gets more kilometers per liter. As much as 5 to 10 percent more than with E10 blended gasoline.

    Tumaas ang consumption ko at humina pa hatak ng auto ko dahil sa e10. Dati 7.5-8 liters per 100 kms fc ko,ngayon 9+ na.Siguro dahil sa paghina ng performance kaya ganito outcome.May mga nagrereklamo pa dito na nasira daw ang ride nila dahil sa E10,nakakaalarma tuloy.Ang masaklap, tumataas pa ang price ng oil sa world market dahil sa kaguluhan sa middle east.

    anong type of petrol po ang walang halong ethanol? Blaze? Gold? Yung XCS kasi meron, yun pa naman gas ko lagi. Late ko na nabasa sa user's manual ko na iwasan ethanol as much as possible.

    ^Blaze 100 walang E10.

    I gas up at PTT Park n Fly branch near NAIA in Parañaque, cause it's closer to work. I was informed that All of their Gasoline products doesn't have E10.

    i repeat, PTT Gasolines doesn't have E10.

    Also, to what i noticed, they have cleaner fuels.

    I occasionally fill up at PTT with Performa 95 Premium Gasoline, and it has E10.

    ^^^ Avoid asking the attendant regarding fuel properties. Most of them do not know anything about fuel.

    I already heard high praise regarding Petron, thanks for confirming it. Blaze 100 it is. But will the high octane rating affect my engine in any negative way? I only drive a 1.4 Gen 3 Suzuki Swift.

E10 Ethanol, bad for your engine & economy? [MERGED]
