ALL SHELL gasoline products have ethanol blended into it.

You can thank all the congressmen and senators who supported the CLEAN AIR ACT many years ago.

Diesel does not use ethanol. They use bio-diesel.

Some gas companies still sell straight gasoline but usually in their top variant gasolines only.

    Example:
    Petron - Blaze
    Total - Pro-Tec

Biodiesel is ok. I've used pure biodiesel on my ride a couple of times before.

Just look for the yellow sticker above the label of the variant of gas you are filling up with, it says that this fuel uses 10% bioethanol... something like that.

If there's no sticker above the label, then we can say that it's pure gasoline.

    just read today. http://www.philstar.com/opinion/2013...uel-good-idea?

first, ethanol is one reason why we have higher pump prices of gasoline. importing it is cheaper but we have a law on patronizing our own products. thereby, petroleum companies have no other way but to buy expensive local ethanol rather than importing cheaper ethanol from abroad. second, it only produces 2/3 of energy compared to same amount of pure gasoline. third and most important, it is not eco-friendly. it causes smog. maybe the government should take a look on this for it is bad economics really. add to that the eco-impact.

E10 Ethanol, bad for your engine & economy? [MERGED]
