December 30th, 2006 04:41 AM #53I'd say go for the Benz, BMW while it's a terrific car to drive will require more maintenance.
The W124 and W210 are great choices.

January 2nd, 2007 06:10 AM #54Bimmer since I drive most of the time and I would choose a sportier car. I also like the styling a lot better. But the Benz that you talk of is a solid car. Mostly no problems at all.

January 2nd, 2007 01:25 PM #55I agree the E39 (5 series) and E36 (3 series), E30 (M3) have a terrific styling, they also had alot more BMW character than today's Banglized Bimmers of today.

Resurrecting the thread a second time!
How about a toss-up between a '95 C180 and a '97 320i? Both auto trannies, petrol engines, with roughly 45K on the odometer.
Which would have the upper hand in terms of:
1.) Reliability - as the vehicle would be self-driven daily
2.) Maintenance - parts availability and cost
3.) Comfort
Thanks!Last edited by corbon44; July 18th, 2007 at 05:30 PM.

Get ready to pay more sa MB but in return very comfortable daw talaga.

July 22nd, 2007 12:05 AM #60With regards to the C180(W202) and 320i(E36), nagkaroon ako both Benz and BMW, Yung Benz wala naman naging problema for the 2 years that I owned it. Unfortunately I could not say the same for the BMW, puro problema at sakit ng ulo ang napala ko.
