I still prefer manual coz i like shifting gears and you have more control of the car.

right now im driving m/t vehicles. i've been thinking kung bibili ako ng sasakyan if m/t o a/t. eto thoughts ko:
pag m/t:
- di makagala yung isang kamay lalo pag city driving (dadakma ng food... hihimas ng cellphone... pipindot ng HU)
pag a/t:
- what if baha? kaso yung habagat the deepest floods i've driven to was only 8 inches high. work to home byahe scenario yun. so no worries
- what if tumirik? kaso this is gonna happen probably on the 15th year or so of today's vehicles.
- less precision driving.
^^^ Price difference between AT and MT hovers around 40T only. Usually the AT version has added accessories compared to the same MT counterpart. Like better wheels, some exterior improvements, etc.
unfortunately, when we buy the AT car, it comes as a package deal with all these other accessories.. hence the more realalistic 60-100K extra...
heh heh.
earliest possible change in atf? every oil change?check with your manual. Usually every 40k. Kung run-of-the-mill transmissions lang that accepts Dexron III fluid, Php250 or less lang per liter neto and you would need mga 4L or so. Pwede na isabay every 3rd or 4th change oil kasi mura lang
Sucks having m/t here in metro manila, sa probinsya ok lang.
When u are over 40 years old i suggest u get the AT trans because the daily pressure of the clutch will eventually wear your lumbar (spinal connecting your pelvic bone) resulting in low back pain in the long run. By the time u notice it, some nerves may have been compressed by the pressure and it may result in numbness in some parts of your legs
pero malaking ginhawa ng a/t ngayon, thumbs up ako sa reliable a/t ngayon, pag daily driven.
pag rezing rezing, off road m/t.
I remember our lolo driving a manual transmission car on a daily basis even when he was already in his 60s. No complaints whatsoever. Now already in his late 70s, he still drives a manual on occasion when his matic car is being serviced.

baka nakaranas pa yung lolo mo double pump sa clutch before shifting.
So pag uwi ko trade ko na m/t strada to a/t
