I assume same thing with Reverse, or do I need to still partially apply the clutch on Reverse?

at 1st gear, i can fully release the clutch with slight on the gas pedal at 1.2-1.5 rpm. lalo pag continuous but slow moving traffic. kahit di pa umaangat yung needle ng speedometer.
*tidus & aejhay: yeah, you can fully release the clutch I am doing that but it depends on the type of your car.

Totoo naman na ang kotseng naka-manual ay nakakareduce the risk of texting while driving.

Agree ba kayo na we need to "save the manuals?"

not really true. it doesn't matter if a car is manual or automatic. if the driver wants to read or send a text message, he'll find a way.

Hey, back in high school, I had classmates and friends who could eat breakfast, have coffee, change into their school uniform, and use the cellphone... all while driving a manual transmission car.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Hi mga sir, I'm planning to get a car loan this November, 1st car & 1st time driver. Balak kong mag-enroll sa driving school sa end of OCT 2010 or early NOV 2010 na para malapit sa pagbili.

Balak ko kasi A/T car, pero sabi ng mga kasama ko sa work ay dapat daw M/T ang aralin ko. Given nga daw na 1st time driver ako, dapat nga daw M/T muna ako at tsaka na lang ako mag A/T. Any advise on this?

Also, A/T dahil gagawin ko itong pamasok sa work everyday nang balikan from Marikina to Makati at dahil traffic lagi sa either C5 or EDSA. Sabi naman nila mas tipid daw sa gas pag M/T kaysa A/T. Nasa 17km ang taxi meter pag EDSA ang daan at nasa 20km pag C5 naman pag umuuwi ako sa gabi.

Thanks in advance for your inputs!

IMHO, get an A/T. The convenience of driving through rush-hour-bumper-to-bumper traffic using a car with A/T will compensate for the savings you'll get from using a M/T.

Konti lang po ang difference ng FC ng M/T and A/T

    *spidey

A friend of mine took driving lessons with a car with M/T; then she bought a car with A/T. No problems encountered.
