April 29th, 2010 09:01 AM #461I wished the PHDM Mazda 3 had real manual transmission, I mean with a clutch pedal not just the +/- tiptronic. I wonder what's their point of not giving us Mz3 M/T models when, like what you guys said, those should be cheaper to produce..

For up to a couple of minutes wait, leave it in D. But for longer waits, put it in N and engage the hand brake.
While in D, the engine use up a bit more fuel due to the drag caused by the ATF churning inside the torque converter. However, frequent shifting between D and N will promote extra wear on the clutch packs.

I am not doing this, but ok lang ba ang nasa "D" tapos naka hand brake PERO hindi nakatapak sa brake. bale ang hand brake lang ang pumipigil. Ok lang ba?

Mas advisable na nasa neutral o park kung gagamit ka ng hand break para safe .

Na reach na ba ng mga automobile industry ang technology ng manual transmission or meron pa asenso? Kasi pansin ko parang bullet-proof na manual. Sa civic 96 MT ko na lang hindi pa ako nagpapalit release bearing, clutch...etc. By the way once ko lang pinalitan gear oil nun
Pero sa automatic parang hindi matibay. Parang sirain. Pag nag shift ka sa park to reverse to neutral to drive...vice versa maingay na parang may kumakaskas na bakal. Bakit din pag na drain ng fluid sa matic hindi lumalabas lahat ng fluid. Sana umasenso pa automatic transmission. Ang mahal pag nasira eh.
